The manager was rude, and we booked a reservation and our flight was canceled so we missed the first day of our stay, and we called to tell them, but when we got there the next day they canceled our room without a refund and made us pay again.

Bathroom smelt of urine. Used the travel desk but it was way too expensive for what we got. Hotel is over priced and I would definitely not recommend.

The hotel is some distance from the the ghats and Ganges so this is not for you if you want to be in the main hype of activity, but a welcome retreat if you want to be away from it all at the end of the day. The staff were not unfriendly but could be more cheerful, one or two on reception gave the impression they didn't want to be bothered with anything other than booking you in and checking you out. That said, most were more than happy to direct us to nearest chemist, travel agent, etc. The rooms were spacious and clean but there was a musty smell in one of our two rooms which I think came from insufficient airing. Otherwise the level of cleanliness and comfort were of a high standard and efficiency with laundry and room service was good. Good value for money if you don't mind paying for the taxi/rickshaw ride into the main areas around the river.

Room smelt of must and all linen was damp. Had to sleep with my clothes on. The next day they changed my room but only slightly better, linen still damp. I would recommend the Radisson or even better the Ramada which are in walking distance. I was so dissatisfied with this hotel that I forced myself to write a review which is not my thing.
