Really amazing setting in historic Sestri Levante. This is a gem with a very Italian clientele and it should be respected as such. The location including both a private beach and a really nice, large swimming pool was perfect. Also a highlight was proximity (<10 min walking) to the ferry/traghetto landing to board for San Fruttuoso and Portofino. Breakfast was top notch and the parking lot made for a simple in and out for our brief one night stay. Wish we would've stayed at least two days! Staff was super attentive and capable with English language as needed.

Beautiful hotel; the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, the rooms were top class and the breakfast superb. We will definitely be back - absolutely no reason to waste time looking for alternatives and risking anything substandard when this hotel delivers on all fronts.

When we arrived they advised our dinner reservations were cancelled because a large wedding party had booked the restaurant. We had booked this months in advance.The door knob fell off the door and we could not lock our room. The shower hose came loose from the wall and sprayed water every where. The wedding party band kept us up til midnight. Room service breakfast arrived cold.The hotel is beautiful but not a good experience.

A beautiful palazzo, their staff is nice and helpful. The town around it is just gorgeous.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff right in the middle of everything you need to explore Sestri Levante.

The Hotel Villa Balbi is an outstanding hotel with the best staff in Europe. Mario, Alessandro, Vincenzo at the front desk as well as the rest of the staff treat you like family and are a large part of the fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds. Bedroom was large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served in the garden which was a real treat. The pool area is very well situated in the garden with plenty of recliners and gazebos. The hotel is situated across from the sea front and the hotel has its own private beach for which you have to pay extra (50 euros a day for 2 recliners and an umbrella, a bit steep in my opinion). The Main Street of Sestri L is just behind the hotel and has a great choice of bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel and am sure we will be back in the future

Beautiful setting; hotel rooms very comfortable with great beds. Room maid service was excellent and front desk helped with scheduling drivers and any request.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in a great central location and only minutes to the Bay of Silence and all the local restaurants. The room was comfortable, quite basic but had all we needed really. The shower was good and we had nice towels. We are used to staying in more modern hotels but this was more than adequate and made a nice change. The building is very beautiful. The breakfast was fairly simple but nice. We used the pool and that was lovely. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The overall price was good compared to other hotels in the area. We would return if we visited Sestri again.

Public areas were attractive and breakfast was excellent. Our room, on the first floor, was dark with a view of the air conditioner. Be mindful of the room you book, and get.
