Our bathroom had dried blood on door, muddy handprints everywhere, dried urine around toilet. When I reported it to staff, they brought me cleaning products, gloves, and napkins.

This place was really amazing for our short stay. The lobby was clean and welcoming. All members of staff we spoke with here really nice and helpful. The bed was really comfy too. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re visiting family in Ft. Payne!

My stay was great. Ended up staying longer. Comfortable and clean. Relaxing. I stayed here once before a long time ago and it was the worst. It’s under a new owner now and definitely up to the Hilton standard

Pet owners beware they have an additional $75 non refundable pet charge on top of the $85 security deposit that is not disclosed until check in and after driving 14 hours we weren’t in the mood to argue about it. The hotel is clean, comfortable and nice but it seems a little unethical to surprise your guest with additional charges at check in. $250 a night is outrageous for a Hampton inn

Checking in took forever, and I cannot believe the pet fee has gone up, when it’s just a night or two 75 is a lot. Looks like I won’t be going to the Hampton anymore. Disappointing.

I did not like the room I was assigned only because it was located next to the door leading outside. That door would slam shut each time it was opened which was opened up until about 02:30 a.m. which kept myself and my granddaughter awake all night. That's my only complaint.

Only issue was the 85.00 security deposit charge. There was no warning re that charge and I did not appreciate the extra charge on my card. It was refunded, but its an unfair policy especially for seniors. I will not be staying at the Hampton chain again. Its a pity as I have been happy with staying there fir the past 30 years.

Overall the property and staff were exceptional! I was not able to give a full 5 star review because of an issue with an employee during check in on Friday afternoon. First of all they told me the wrong price of $500 before inserting my card into the reader. Although they were able to cancel the transaction it was still able to process through my bank account. I'm easy going so no problem at all. I was going to receive the funds back on the card anyways but it was put on hold for 3-4 days and I needed the funds immediately for the weekend since I was from out of town. Again no worries because I called my bank and they told me exactly what was needed from the hotel to put the funds back in the account within the hour. (A simple letter or email with my name, the amount charged, and a short reason of why the funds could be taken off hold and released. When I tried to explain this the female supervisor was rude, interrupted me and cut me off 7-8 times and said "Your card wasn't charged, we don't have anything to show or give them to say it was". I calmly said yes ma'am I realize that then tried to explain again what had happened and what I needed from her to correct it on my banks end all while the lady from my bank was on the other end of my phone call on speaker when the supervisor again interrupted me. I calmly told the lady on the phone from the bank I'm trying to explain what happened and what I need from her but she keeps cutting me off and will not let me explain.
