It was our 3rd stay here and we really enjoyed it

A beautiful old building in beautiful gardens with a lovely pool. Fantatic owners who hire equally fantatic staff. Our second visit.

We stayed at Chateau de la Verie for two nights. What a fabulous authentically french hotel. The rooms were spacious, airy, comfortable and immaculatly clean. The owners were very welcoming and organised a restaurant for us to eat at, which was also excellent, just what we needed after a long journey. The breakfast was wonderful, choice of fresh fruit, pastries, meats and cheeses, served in an immaculate dining room. A tranquil and beautiful setting, and perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Thank you we would love to visitxagain.

Lovely chateau, just the right number of rooms/guests to enable good distancing, and protection against COVID-19. Staff very helpful and knowledgable of local area. Limited cooked options for breakfast.

This hotel is magical, if you want to relax and unwind then this is the place for you. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. We ate in the hotel’s restaurant and it was superb, all our food was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. We spent an afternoon lazing by the pool then had a game of tennis, we had forgotten our tennis gear and the owner kindly lent us some which was a lovely gesture. The Chateau is situated in beautifully maintained grounds which are grazed by a small flock of sheep that you can watch whilst seated on the terrace. I can honestly say that this is a truly wonderful place to stay and for once I managed to relax which for me is very rare, this is because the owners cater for anything you want, nothing is too much trouble. 5 stars for everything! We will be back, thank you for a truly memorable stay.

We had an amazing overnight stay at the Chateau. On arrival we were stunned with the Chateau itself and the surrounding grounds. The owners and staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was lovely. The meal in the restaurant in the evening was really good, and service exceptional. We hope to book another stay when we are in France next year.

A visit by my Rotary Club to our twin in Challans for a long weekend. The hotel, although an old chateau had excellent facilities and was very comfortable.

This was a wonderful place to stay: everything about it was delightful, from its park and gardens, terrace, pool, woodland walks, the food, the decor, the views from the rooms! You just need to go to see it for yourself!

Stayed here for 12 nights, it is a beautiful hotel, location is good for travelling around. Staff were lovely and very helpful all spoke English too. The room we stayed in was a lovely room big enough. (Room 14)

We stayed 5 nights and were disappointed with the hotel. The amenities are poor and meals very expensive. No drinks or food available on Sundays after breakfast. There was no bar. Our room was in need of refurbishment.

We had a most wonderful stay at Chateau de le Verie. It seemed to be like our own little Versailles. The setting so calm and beautiful and the Chateau lovely. .Dinner was a special experience - the 7 course menu was awesome. The room was very comfortable and as nice as the rest of the hotel. Would definitely return.

The approach to the chateau is wonderful. You drive through the grounds & don't see the chateau until the last minute. Very imposing, but small enough to be comfortable. The staff everywhere are delightful & the food is absolutely delicious. We will definitely be going back.

16th Century luxury accommodation for the price of a Campanile - what more can you ask for? Dinner is a little more expensive but obviously you can't compare with a chain hotel and it make a great occasion

We loved the place, great rooms and decor. Enjoyed the gardens very much and we will go back there.
