Conveniently located next to the subway/light rail, with numerous restaurants and bars in the area that are open late. Would happily consider this option again.

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Made me feel like a guest in their home rather than a hotel.

The proximity to the location of PNC Park and restaurants was excellent but this hotel is no better than a motel you’d see off the highway in a deserted hillbilly town. In fact, I’m thinking even that may have been better. Where do I begin? If I could give this hotel ZERO stars I would! The toilet did not flush (I guess that’s why a plunger was left there) the room was not cleaned nor were the beds made after the first night, the iron was faulty and ruined my husband’s birthday dinner shirt, the closet doors were off track, the water in the shower was difficult to adjust temperature for and it flowed scalding hot. I complained about the toilet to the front desk and all they could do was add it to the list of repairs for maintenance, who never showed up. The kitchen manager at breakfast was rude and disrespectful as well. This trip was planned as part of a birthday gift for my husband and it was ruined by our stay here.

Pros: very close to PNC Bank (literally right out the front door) and the Steelers stadium was less than 10 minutes walk down the street. Great for sports fans. The river was close by and there was a nice park you can walk along the river. Other things like the science center, national aviary and museums are close by. Train station is a block away and buses to pretty much anywhere can be caught in market square, a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Quiet, we barely heard anyone even though for much of our stay the hotel was quite full. Decent breakfast with several options including eggs, meats, potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and a variety of breads. Staff were friendly and let us check in early. Room was very spacious and a studio room was quite comfortable for 2 people. Full sized fridge and even a dishwasher were great to have. We enjoyed our stay. Cons: housekeeping is not daily, which doesn't really bother us but could be an issue for some. My problem was that the first time they came in they really only took out the garbage and gave us a couple fresh towels. The second time they did a more thorough job and the room looked fantastic afterwards. The pool is very small and looked like it could use some new paint on the bottom. Restaurants near the hotel are mostly sports bars, not the hotels fault of course but something to be aware of if staying here.

First room, they gave me toilet, not working Second room, they gave me door broken out of hinges. I decided just to stay in the second room too much hassle, staff phenomenal that’s why I can’t even give them a bad rating.

Just down the street from the RnR Hall of Fame, the bell hop was great, the restaurant Masa y Agave was really good. I would stay there again

We enjoyed our stay with our two grandchildren. The room, 415, was spacious, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed. They all seemed to enjoy their job. The housekeeping staff brought us towels and linens that we needed for the pull-out couch. We didn't use the kitchenette except to make coffee which was a surprisingly good tasting cup of coffee. Breakfast was typical with eggs, meat, oatmeal with many toppings, breads, cold cereal and make -your-own waffles which the kids loved. The dining area was roomy, and comfortable with an outdoor seating area complete with a fire pit! The pool was not for me: very small and cold one time but, thankfully, warm the next. The kids enjoyed a swim. We liked the close access to many restraunt choices, walking to the North Shore Park and even Point State Park was just a ten minute walk across the bridge which was a thrilling adventure for the grandkids. Planning to return next summer and rent bicycles.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was dated in some aspects, updated in others; I think they are trying to improve. Staff said they are under new management. Was worried about our stay based on some reviews, but overall the room was fine. The little store was not well stocked. The area is amazing as long as you stay on the same side of the freeway; Pirates stadium is literally across the street and tons of dining options nearby. Many sightseeing spots are walking distance. River is also very close with nice wide walking paths. We loved our stay in Pittsburgh and would definitely return!

I booked this room months in advance. I arrived and first thing I noticed was a carpet tack strip with nails on the floor. This was unsafe to walk anywhere close to the area without shoes on. Next I noticed the it seemed warm in my room. I contacted the front desk and they sent an "engineer" to our room he did absolutely nothing other than turn the breaker off and turn the thermostat off then back on. He said he would let the front desk know. I called down to the front desk after waiting 40 minutes to hear back and they said there was nothing they could do because they were booked up and I would be compensated for my issues.I then turned the TV on and we only had about 7 grainy channels. I seen that the receiver was hooked up wrong and fixed this issue myself knowing that no one in the hotel would be any to help due to none of the previous issues being addressed. Me and my son spent the rest of the evening watching where we walked in the hotel room and sitting in an 85 to 90 degree room with no airflow. It was absolutely awful would not recommend to a friend 0 out of 10.

Overall, the front desk staff was friendly, quick and efficient. Our check in time was 4 and the room was ready by 3. Once we went to the room, the room temp was at 77 degrees. We called the front desk and they said they would send someone up to fix it. We left for the baseball game. (Great proximity to both stadiums and North Shore bars and restaurants. Once we returned two hours later, the room now at 78. We called again and were told the engineer would be up. Again nothing. So I went down and the man at the front desk informed me there were no rooms bc they were sold out. He said we would get a credit for the inconvenience. Just tell them in the morning before check out. Finally, on checkout, I was told no credit. It was disappointing because we were very excited to stay on the north shore but moving forward, we will continue to stay downtown. Positives- check in staff was very friendly. Clean. Breakfast. Convenience Negatives- No ac on a warm and humid day.
