Great breakfast, not crowded.

Great staff, Nice location. Average breakfast. Not in very good overall condition. Okay shower. Horrible bed. The bed is the main reason for the low mark. Lumpy and uneven.

The hotel is in an elegant building immediately opposite the train station in Leuven and a good 10 minute walk down the main avenue to the historic and interesting centre The room was fine - clean and tidy but, in my case had no views with the one bedroom window looking out onto a shaft (popular with pigeons, though they were not a disturbance and I had a good night's sleep!) Breakfast was included in my rate and was an excellent buffet with hot and cold food, pastries and fresh fruit all on offer

The hotel should have been classified as an “up-market back packers hostel” The whole place, with the exception of the Breakfast Room, was tired and shabby and in desperate need of a makeover. It was indicated that parking was available - yes in the City but NOT within the hotel. Overall very disappointing experience.

The staff was kind. The rooms are ok.

Very, very noise surroundings Not a single night sleep without being woken up mulitple times by noise from the street or the bars. We stayed at 3rd floor - but still very loud. The location is central - but still we were taken by surprise of the very noisy area.

Short stay. Very nice. Great breakfast included. Older facilities in a historic building. Service was great. Welcoming and helpful attendants. Great value.

Location was amazing although overlooking the square, it was noisy. Room was clean but some areas worn down and not spotless. Overall enjoyed my stay and recommend the hotel.

Basic but clean and comfortable, and has a lovely vibe. Nice bar/restaurant. Excellent breakfast.

when we arrived, at 7 pm, there was no receptionist. we were given a different room than what had been required and the person in charge (waitress) couldn't help much as there was no receptionist available. Given that the hotel for that day was fully booked, they should have a person in charge to support customers.

An old hotel, although clean and all worked well. A great stay for the money. Across the road from the railway station, and about a 15 minute walk to the old town. A good breakfast, good shower, no safe in the room.

Excellent location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Right near the train and bus complex. Easy walking to the great restaurants and shops in Leuven. Very safe area. The train is 15 minutes to Brussels airport. So convenient. Have stayed at the Royale three times so far. Excellent. Nice breakfast buffet. Restaurant on premises.

Perfect location close to the train station and Het Depot

We enjoyed our stay at this property overall. The room was small but that didn’t matter as we were not there to spend much time in the room. It was a very clean property with breakfast included which was delicious. The 2 points that I’d say did not meet our expectations would be the pillows as the 2 they provided were very small and did not provide the support we were used to and the unavailability of a fan from the hotel. Due to the buildings age it didn’t have any air conditioning which was understandable but the window did not provide any air circulation and the hotel did not have fans available so we had to go buy one or we would not have slept. Now that is a personal preference so it’s not the hotels fault. Overall we would stay there again, the patio options are endless in the area and the train is extremely close for easy access to anywhere you want to go.

Good location opposite main public transport links and underground car park. Easy walk to town centre and restaurants. Good breakfast.

Done the job like it was meant too very close to train station , friendly staff , just could do with a bit of a revamp ?? But would definitely stay there again

Nice hotel near the train station. Very good staff front desk. Comfortable room. Was getting hot and open windows was a bit noisy. Staff were buying fans for the rooms which would be great.

Hotel team very accommodating and helpful. Location near train and shopping area. We’ll always return and stay in this hotel.

The hotel is a typical European hotel, smaller rooms, but kept up nicely. Staff at reception, housekeeping, breakfast and bar/restaurant were excellent, friendly and helpful. Location in Leuven is fantastic. You can walk everywhere from the hotel within 20 minutes. Very convenient to train station and taxi stand if needed. Restaurants and very close. A very nice 10 day visit.
