Beware of undisclosed fees. When booking, the hotel is presented as offering amenities such as a pool, spa, sauna, and hot tub. However, approximately three days before departure - we received an email stating that access to the pool/sauna/hot tub area would cost an additional 300 SEK (about $30) per person, per day. This was not clearly disclosed at the time of booking, and the timing left little opportunity to make alternative arrangements. Beyond the unexpected fees, the overall standard of the hotel was disappointing. Upon arrival, there were champagne corks left on the floor in our room. Several drawers were broken, and the shower did not drain properly, filling with water up to our ankles within minutes. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The spa and pool area, for which the additional daily fee is charged, appeared worn and poorly maintained. In the women’s changing and shower area, there was visible mold, broken lockers, and unclean floors. Given the extra cost, the condition of these facilities was particularly concerning. Breakfast was acceptable, though not memorable. There are many young staff members managing front desk and restaurant operations. They appeared to be doing their best, but the overall inexperience was noticeable and service lacked polish. Very clean and tidy throughout the hotel. We would have liked to have known that the Spa and Sauna was not included as I couldnt find any information about that before hand. Good stay overall, shame they didnt have space for late check though.

Very few vegan options, empty shampoo in the hotel shower and dusty floor. Signs of poor maintenance all over the place, tiles coming off the wall and overflowing garbage bins

Our room was not cleaned for four days until we asked, spa is quite expensive but half of the sauna facilities were broken.

This is a great ski and adventure hotel. It’s clean, big rooms, quiet despite its its size and gorgeous setting next to åre lake. Even the basic rooms are bigger than your average hotel in rest of Europe. I have been coming to this hotel with my 2 daughters ( now 13 and 15) for skiing and it is always a good option. It’s not ski in& ski out, lifts are either a 10 mins walk or ski buss right outside. Perfect for us tjough

Room was very warm and blackout curtains did not do their jobs properly : it seems the hotel is optimized for winter sports. Sauna was closed and usage of the pools - which is the reason we booked - were an extra SEK 250 per person. That should have been clearly indicated on the reservation page.
