Fabulous modern spaces in a 17th century Venetian building. Lovely patio doubles as an al fresco breakfast space, plus a comfortable seating area in front of the hotel for cocktails or coffee while people watching. Perfect location right in the old town pedestrian area with tons of restaurants and shops, plus a walk to the beach and the Fortezza. Staff from front desk, to barista, to breakfast, to housekeeping all stellar.

I booked based off the good reviews but unfortunately I didn’t have this experience. They put me in a room on the ground floor which had big windows that opened up wide enough for someone to easily climb through. The side gate was open so anyone could walk in off the street (they said it was closed but it was open the whole time I was there). Without opening this window, there was no natural light in the room. Being a solo female traveller, I didn’t feel safe being in this room so I asked to move. so they charged me an extortionate amount to upgrade rooms. They blamed me for not looking on their website, but I booked through Hotel.com and didn’t say anywhere that the room was on the ground floor. I’d already paid for the first room so I didn’t feel like I had any choice but to pay extra which felt sore because the hotel itself is very basic. The shower was so small I couldn’t even reach down and I also left my phone charger in one of the rooms when I checked out and they refused to give it back to me. Staff were rude and unfriendly. I could hear the hum of the fridge all night even with earplugs in. I also didn’t think the sheets or floors were very clean. I would advise avoiding this hotel if you want a stress free holiday.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the old town, spotlessly clean, very nice courtyard with swimming pool and sun loungers, we had breakfast outside by the pool. It was my birthday and wedding anniversary and the hotel gave us Prosecco and fruit plate to welcome us. Friendly staff. Will definitely stay again and would recommend Pepi Hotel. Thank you.

This was my favorite boutique hotel, and hotel in general, I've ever stayed in. It's like a little oasis in heaven when you turn off of busy Old Town Rethymno. It's quiet, beautiful, lovely rooms, the courtyard and pool are wonderful. The breakfast is five star perfect. And while we were there, 3 kitten made the courtyard their home. Which made the holiday even more perfect. I'm hoping we will return one day.

Great little boutique hotel right in the heart of old town. Shops right outside your door , 5 min walk to the water and night life. Rooms are quaint , has AC, not the fastest AC but it works. Pool is nice and good breakfast in the morning . Also it’s quiet even with being so close to everything. A nice little oasis .

We loved our stay at The Pepi. It was charming and the service was excellent. The interior of the room we stayed in was well laid out. The beds were very firm, almost too firm for us but it was not a deal breaker and the service and hotel itself were wonderful. Very sweet breakfast options and it is directly in the center of old town but it was quiet.

Very clean, chic hotel, with excellent breakfast, comfortable rooms, and pretty terrace. Great location too. Our room was quite dark, which was only issue.

This was a beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of Old Town. We had a spacious suite with a loft. The pool was an excellent addition to take a dip after our walks. Breakfast was so yummy, especially the Greek pastries and yoghurt. The outdoor area was beautiful. Would highly recommend this quaint hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Pepi Hotel and would definitely stay again. Pros: - Walking distance to lots of dining options, sightseeing, shopping etc, perfect location! - Friendly staff - Very tasty breakfast and wines - Quiet, relaxed atmosphere - Room 6 was spacious and had a great balcony overlooking the pool - Fridge in room - Powerful shower - Able to use the facilities after checkout if late transfer home - Nice pool for cooling down in Cons: - When we first entered the room on arrival, there was a slight sewage type smell which was overpowering. Thankfully this went away throughout the week but kept coming back here and there. - Only outdoor shower for getting ready for flights, no desperate changing area/suitcase area whilst waiting to get to the airport - Lack of space for clothes in the bedroom, there was a wardrobe but no drawers at all - Cappuccinos and Lattes are usually included within the price for breakfast at most hotels but are extra here - Bed extremely hard There are a couple of cons but overall, the pros outweigh these and the stunning aesthetic of the hotel, combined with the staff and location make it a great stay. It would be good if some more small comforts were thought about for future rather than just concentrating on the style. Please get new beds as they are very hard!

Just had the most amazing weeks stay at this hotel with my daughter, the staff were so welcoming and helpful and the accommodation was excellent. The hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of the old town yet the courtyard with pool area was so peaceful. The hotel also arranged our transfers to and from the airport which went very smoothly. Thank you to all for an amazing holiday.

A lovely small hotel at the heart of Rethymno. Very central and easy walking to shops, restaurants, harbour, beach and port. We stayed in a maisonette. Due to Covid all of the kitchen equipment was taken out so we didn’t have the facilities we expected, which was a little disappointing. However, it had a comfortable bedroom on the mezzanine with a king size bed. The accommodation for us lacked natural light due to small windows. Even with the shutters open it was still quite dark. I suppose this was designed to keep out some of the heat. There are lots of choices for breakfast served in the beautiful courtyard around the swimming pool. The Reception and breakfast serving staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely contemporary design. Quiet but close to the pedestrianised shopping area and restaurants, as well as the museum.
