After a truly terrible booking experience with Hotels.com I was little dubious about our stay but it was brilliant from start to finish. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, modern, fresh, as are the rooms. We had a family room which was ideal, a small fridge which had been stocked with some goodies. All the staff are friendly, the food was amazing. Breakfast was my boys favourite! The only slight thing which lets the hotel down is the pool, it needs a refresh! They seem to have renovated the whole hotel but not the pool. Also worth noting to check the timetable in the pool as we went only to be told it was closed for aquafit which wasn’t advertised anywhere in the leaflet given to us by reception. We can’t wait to return!

After reading some previous reviews I was a little concerned, but didn't need to be. Check in was easy, every member of staff we spoke to were polite and efficient. Food in the bar was nice and with no complaints. The room was clean and comfortable and all at a reasonable price.

The staff were friendly and helpful

A few contradictions - the room feels half renovated - with nice furniture and a nice TV...but broken window handles. A nice shower...but weird spots all over the sink and mirror. USB C plugs...but a door that feels like it's 50 years old. Nice to have a pool for the price point, and staff were overall friendly, but cooked breakfast was mediocre for the price (I'd stick with the cheaper continental) and little annoyances (like our key cards resetting every day) just made our stay pretty average.

General good but could do with up grading

Chain hotel that I have used before and would use again. There is nothing near by, so unless eating in the hotel a trip into the town is required which is over a mile.

Great location, good service and very good facilities. The hotel feels very continental. Food is high quality.

Booked breakfast and dinner option was really impressed. Great selection on the menu and value for money was great. Hotel was spotless clean and the staff were lovely, nothing too much trouble. I did notice the pool area had a few broken tiles and was needing a little TlC but overall okay.

Room nice and clean. Reception very chaotic and unorganised- people having lots of rows with reception. Swimming pool nice, but decor very dated and tatty.

Clean, good size rooms which have been refurbished. Please note the photos are not uptodate and show rooms with bath tubs. ALL rooms now have showers which did not meet our needs. Helpful staff. We booked this hotel to enjoy the leisure facilities. The hot tub is limited to jets from the bottom only & being unmanned enabled clients to spit around it which was rather gross. Small but pleasant steam room & sauna. Showers were out of order on our visit. The leisure facilities need updating. The hotel has a pleasant area to sit outside which has both shade & full sun areas. Nice areas to sit inside too.

Rather odd experience with frustrated staff at check in and distracted staff in the dining hall. We got what we paid for.

Frim the moment we arrived this hotel did not disappointed our expectations. The staff were professional, welcoming and extremely helpful - they could not do enough for us to help ensure our stay was relaxing and comfortable. We were a large family group, 3 rooms, travelling with a baby as well as an older grandparent. Staff went out of their way to help us even washing the babies clothes when she had been sick! They made us feel at home and very welcome which made us very relaxed throughout our stay. The hotel itself is freshly decorated, spotlessly clean and has many social areas around the bar area that we could sit and enjoy our time together. Bar staff were friendly and offered a good selection of drinks for the grown ups. Kids menu offers good value to feed lots of children! The pool was fab fluffy white towels provided and a hot jacuzzi and sauna to top it off. We enjoyed a relaxed breakfast with a wide choice and selection of hot/cold tasty food. The chef even came out and offered our little dog a treat for his breakfast (so kind and thoughtful.) I genuinely can not find any area for improvement for the hotel or that could have bern better with our stay. We will be using this hotel every year for our family catch up. Thank you for everything you did to help us....we had a fab stay ❤️

Hotel was clean and well managed. Room was a generous size and very clean. Only negative was the shower screen had presumably previously been broken and so was missing, which meant a shower sprayed water all over the floor. I reported it on check-out and was assured it would be addressed.

We have had a lovely stay at the hotel, from arrival to departure all the staff have been friendly and helpful. We have stayed before for one night and really liked it so stayed longer to use the on site facilities.

It was ok - the “Premier” room was a disappointment and the whole hotel just lived up to the name of a ‘bog standard and typical Holiday Inn’. The rooms were bare and had no character the pillows were awful. Don’t bother bother booking the “Premier” room, it was a packet of crisps, cheap biscuits and cans of coke.

Communal areas of the hotel were beautifully maintained and decorated. The room was ok but sadly let down by the beds which were extremely soft, so much so my daughter sat on it and bounced straight back off and onto the floor. If you like very soft beds then I guess this is perfect for you but for us it was not very comfortable. We did like the choice of a hard or soft pillow on each bed however which was a nice touch! Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken but a heater and fan were placed in the room. Sadly it was a very warm day and the heater had been left on before we arrived so the room was like a furnace making it quite uncomfortable to sleep even with the fan on all night. The general condition of the room was clean but there were some hairs found on bedding, towel's, in shower and on bedside table and the inside of the bathroom door had dirty hand marks all around by the handle which was a little gross. We were only staying one evening so didn’t bother contacting staff so cannot comment on how this would have been rectified. Breakfast was amazing and the best part of the stay! Huge variety of food, very clean and well organised and the staff were very friendly and professional. An exceptional service, thank you!
