Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was very quiet and kept clean. Would stay there again for sure.

I absolutely love this hotel — this was our second stay and it was just as wonderful as the first. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the location couldn’t be better with the metro so close, making all of Paris easily accessible. The hotel was extremely accommodating, and I’m already looking forward to returning next year. The only thing missing this time was Patricia, who was away on vacation. If you’re fortunate enough to stay here, don’t miss stopping by Il Seguito for a glass of wine!

It is overall a good hotel in a safe, quiet and convenient location. The staff was always helpful and pleasant to deal with. The air conditioning worked great. The rooms are small, which is fine. The only complaint is the housekeeping, the walls and vents are very dusty and there was sewer gas smell coming from the toilet at nighttime, possibly because there were more guests using the toilets in the building.

Front staff was great. Room was never restocked with coffee or shampoo. I asked the first time but just didn’t bother after that

Love this quaint hotel with staff that provide us with legendary service. They were so helpful and make you feel so welcome. I loved it and would be back. The area had lots of restaurants, shopping and easy access to public transportation. I highly recommend this hotel and looking forward to be back.

Its a very old hotel but in good condition

The property

Quiet street seconds away from all the shops and restaurants. Rooms are very tight but expected for Paris. I am 6’2” and too big for the shower but made it work. The hotel was very clean, had internet and a minute from the bus and metro. Very convenient location!

Great place, relaxed, super clean, nice friendly smiling staff, easy walk (5 minutes) to the Marais and easy walk (8 minutes) to Bastille, quiet neighborhood.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and loved our experience. Attentive and friendly staff. Very well located hotel surrounded by restaurants, bakeries, cafés and stores. Metro station 1 min away. Clean and comfortable room. We'll be back again.

Paris accommodation is always going to be small and expensive, so it's important to find a place that is well-located and makes you feel at home. Hotel Marais de Launay certainly ticks the box, being located on the eastern edge of Le Marais (so easy walking distance to Notre Dame, the Senie, Pompideau and the beautiful streets of Le Marais. There's cafes, restaurants and a Carrefours supermarket nearby and a selection of metro stops. The front desk staff were always friendly. The room was clean and quiet. I was very happy to have made this my home for my week in Paris

Perfect home base for 4- night Paris visit. Easy access to the metro, walkable to food, Air conditioning, elevator, wonderful included breakfast. Perfect for us! Long walk - but even walked to Notre Dame!

The hotel is located in a great area. Walkable, close to restaurants, metro nearby. It is a very basic stay, but exactly what you need in Paris since we were barely in the room. Breakfast had nice options and hotel staff were always eager to help.

Good: Proximity to the metro stations and it is in the city. Poor: The rooms are very small for the price, the shower area could barely fit me.

We recently stayed at Hôtel Marais de Launay and unfortunately found that it didn’t live up to the high ratings we had seen on Expedia and Google. At $385 CAD per night, we expected a much better experience—especially given other hotel options in the same price range. While the location is close to a metro station, the immediate surroundings were disappointing. The hotel is nestled among several bike repair garages, giving the area an industrial, cluttered feel. Right next to the hotel, there’s also a tattoo shop that regularly attracted a group of people who loitered on the sidewalk, forcing us to walk around them just to get by. The rooms were much smaller than pictured online, and the overall space felt more like an old apartment converted into an inn than a proper hotel. The shower was extremely tight—I’m 6'1" and could barely move inside it. One of the most frustrating issues was the air conditioning. It wasn’t working during our stay, and despite raising the issue with the staff multiple times, it was never resolved. We were lucky the weather wasn’t too warm, but still had to sleep with the windows open—leading to a lot of street noise and very disturbed sleep. On the positive side, the concierge staff was friendly and welcoming. But unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort, cleanliness, and value. In hindsight, we regret choosing this hotel based on inflated online reviews and would not stay here again.
