This simple hotel was a breath of fresh from the moment I walked in… yes I did arrive in the night but I’d been given the access code so that was easy. My room with a balcony was clean .. plenty of towels and the bed was super comfy. I had a great night sleep every night .. the air conditioning was really effective too. I turned off during the day to conserve energy but it soon cooled the room when switched back on. There was a safe .. reception give you the lock and key… and even provide a plug in mosquito repellent if required although I never had issues when there. The next morning I met the owner and his wife. Absolutely amazing people and they are the sort of people who are soooo passionate about their hotel and are so helpful. Guillaume speaks many languages and is really great to ask for recommendations! Buffet Breakfast is about £10 but actually a pleasant experience. It’s served in a very unexpected outdoor courtyard and there is a good choice of Hams cheese fruit yoghurt coffee tea juice cake… and when I say cake.. each morning Guillaume’s wife Séverine brought us her latest creation fresh from the oven!! Rebecca who serves breakfast is also lovely.. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay… I felt part of their family when there. Best bit is the beach is literally 3 minutes walk across the road. Who needs a swimming pool when you’ve the largest pool on your doorstep!! Perfect location for everything and I know I will return for sure!! Can’t thank them enough À bientôt!

The staff was amazing. They were the reasons our stay was so wonderful. They were extremely helpful and polite . We highly recommend this hotel . We will be staying here again next time .

A True Gem in Sainte-Maxime I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Le Chardon Bleu this August, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. The owners are truly the heart of this property. They went above and beyond—personally helping me with restaurant reservations, beach club suggestions, local tips, and even little touches like recommending the best walking routes and hidden gems around Sainte-Maxime. You can feel their love for what they do in every detail of the experience. The hotel itself is charming, spotless, and perfectly located. Just a short walk to the beach, the marina, and all the shops and restaurants—yet tucked away enough to offer a peaceful retreat. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable, and everything is maintained with great care. You can tell the owners take immense pride in the property. Le Chardon Bleu is family owned and ran by the most amazing husband and wife duo. They were extremely welcoming, helpful and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay there due to their charismatic energy and sweet demeanor. The area was extremely safe and very walkable with lots to do in the area. Not to mention their puppies who hang in the lobby and greet you when you walk in. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who loves to support small businesses/ family owned businesses. Thank you very much Guillaume for your hospitality. We will definitely be back whenever we return to the South of France.

This hotel is so lovely and hospitable. We really didn’t want to leave but we had already booked another. The owners are so lovely to be around and the atmosphere is family friendly. You feel very comfortable here. It was perfect for the price and the location. Everything is so close and the breakfast was very good. If you don’t want to walk up stairs with your luggage this is one thing to consider but it’s a very easy 3 minutes. The rooms are clean and tidy but the best thing about this hotel is the he hospitality. I have stayed in many hotels and I really felt like this was one I would definitely stay again..

We have just spent 6 nights at this lovely family run hotel. The hosts are unbelievably helpful to ensure your stay is perfect. They assisted us with tickets for the ferry to Ste Tropez and made a reservation there for a fabulous restaurant. They provided secure enclosed parking for €25 per day and even escorted me to the local optician for advice on an eye issue which was so helpful. The room had a kettle and fridge which were useful. The host even lent us a plug adapter and a clothes steamer was available if required too! We have stayed in Ste Maxime a dozen times before and stayed at almost every hotel in the area and I can honestly say that this one is one of the best. It has the kindest hosts and it also has a fab location which is a couple of minutes from the beach, restaurants, bars and shops. So do not hesitate to book this one if you are looking for a central location and value for money.

This is the forth time staying at this magnificent, family owned hotel. They are so welcoming and accommodating. My husband and I felt like family. The breakfast was delicious, some items were home made. The location is fabulous. We could see the ocean from our room. We will come back. Highly recommend.
