Plus--convenient, great staff, nice rooms. Minus--minisplit A/C not working well--room was quite warm.

A lovely place to stay! We loved the back story of the white stag. The staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Parking is behind and under the hotel.

Breakfast and drinks service very good. Air conditioning would have been welcome in the unusual heat.

This hotel was very charming, and the location was fabulous! The staff was friendly, the room was spacious for four people and the breakfast was great. This was our favorite hotel and location for our week long trip to several locations.

All in all is good. Good location and good food, but no coffee machine, no kettle for hot water.

The hotel is right at the Plaza. I wish we could get a room with the Plaza view, then it would be amazing see the pretty Rathaus from our room. Maybe you can request it when you book. The hotel was much bigger than I thought. The breakfast was nice. But I wish they could prepare more for COVID-19 like requesting guests to wear gloves when they get food and make the isle one way or something. A lot of hotel we stayed before do that now. But overall it was excellent.

Lovely, centrally located hotel. Clean, spacious with friendly staff. The only negative would be that the breakfast was very limited for the star rating at this hotel.

The entire experience was outstanding there. The breakfast was absolutely amazing-lots of variety and excellent quality! The staff in the breakfast room were very helpful and attentive. We would give this hotel the highest rating! And we will stay here again!

This hotel offers excellent value. The location is in the heart of the marketplace, the rooms are all a good size and the staff are both friendly and helpful. I dined outside on the terrace and had a wonderful evening looking over the historic square. Parking is on site, larger cars may be a bit tight but the location is second to none. The room was large and comfortable although the TV was located a little too far away from the bed. Breakfast is generous with a good assortment of both hot and cold options. Overall, I will definitely be booking this hotel on my next visit

Comfortable hotel, generously sized rooms and a good breakfast with plenty of choice.

Superb location in the town square; so typically German with good food. Parking available at modest cost. Plenty to do and see in the area. Narrow gauge railway with extensive route network throughout the Harz region, and if you want to see further afield there is a multitude of similar towns for touring, and even an aviation museum in addition to the almost mandatory "Schloss" [tourist road-train available].

The hotel is situated in the market sqare of this beautiful old town and yet has its own reserved parking facilities, some underground. The room was large, clean and airy. The breakfasts were first class, especially the smoked salmon. Our evening meal using local produce and recipes was memorable. A great place from which to explore the lovely Harz region.

Sehr schönes Hotel, das historisches Ambiente mit modernster Ausstattung kombiniert. Unsere Zimmer waren geräumig, sehr hell und extrem sauber. Alles ist auf einem sehr neuen Stand und man merkt, dass an vielen Stellen auf Details geachtet wurde. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die zentrale Lage direkt am Marktplatz ist für kleinere und größere Ausflüge ideal. Wir hatten ein Zimmer direkt zum belebten Marktplatz hin und trotz dieser Lage ist es in den Zimmern absolut ruhig. Die eigene Tiefgarage ist gut gelegen, allerdings auch sehr eng und klein. Wir hatten keinerlei Probleme, aber bei Vollauslastung könnte die Kapazität an Grenzen stoßen - daher rechtzeitig mit reservieren. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut und reichhaltig. Die Qualität der Speisen über dem Durchschnitt, den man von Hotels gewohnt ist. Das Restaurant können wir leider nicht bewerten, da unser Aufenthalt hierfür leider zu kurz war.
