Good location and value

Staying at Pensione Accademia was the icing on the cake of my much-enjoyed 4-day visit to Venice. The front desk, breakfast room, and bar staff were uniformly gracious, well-informed, and helpful. The breakfast array was delicious, and starting each day dining on the hotel's shaded patio was a treat. The location couldn't be better--just west of the Grand Canal, midway between the Ca'Rezzonico and Accademia vaporetto stops, with a varied assortment of nearby restaurants and cafes. My room was well-appointed, with a terrific view of the hotel's front garden and the Grand Canal beyond. The air conditioner worked wonderfully. I stumbled onto this gem of a small hotel, and am very glad I did.

The breakfast each morning was fantastic. We did travel in the middle of the summer during a heat wave, so despite an air conditioner in the room, our room was incredibly hot and humid. After we had too many hot nights with an air conditioner not keeping up, we complained and were moved without an issue to one of the coldest rooms in the property. They even moved our luggage. Although the TV didn’t work in the new room, it didn’t matter because the air-conditioning was full blast and cold. A very attentive and helpful staff.

Didn’t know they still made hotels that were so pleasant to stay in. Everything was top notch. Breakfast wonderful- sit outside and watch the boats on the canal. Staff appears to be long time devoted employees. A plus. Staying there is a very good experience.

The location was excellent. Really easy to get to the vaporetto, Guggenheim and Grand Canal. Lovely tranquil gardens.

Second time staying in this charming hotel. Rooms have been updated. Staff is attentive and close by. A quiet and friendly place to stay. Will visit again.

Absolutely everything. A perfect place to stay and enjoy Venice.

I just checked out of Room 54 this morning May16,2026 and I have to report that there are ants in the room right next to the bed where I slept. I have pictures that I showed Adriano at the reception desk and I would attach them here if given the opportunity.

Our view was amazing. The staff was wonderful and answered all our questions. The room was spotless, We actually left something and they contacted us that they found it. It was a great location. The breakfast was amazing. We would love to stay there again.

Just a warning, there are mosquitos and no window screens so it was a bit hot and stuffy at night. Overall a great location and lovely hotel

No AC this time of year

My daughter and I stayed here as a home base during 4 days in Venice and we will stay here again whenever we come back! Excellent helpful staff, clean rooms, and a relatively quiet location that was still near many things. A great version of the Italian hotel breakfast with a range of options for whomever might want something savory or sweet or in between.

It was a great stay minus the ants in the bathroom.

The hotel was very comfortable. I rented the smallest room, but still had a lovely view over the garden and the canal. The bathroom was spotless with tile walls and floor. Since the hotel has multiple comfortable sitting areas inside and outside in 2 gardens I didn’t miss a larger room. The location was perfect. Close enough to desirable areas to walk easily, but also not in the most touristy district. I could find groceries, and in the other direction, turn a corner and there was the Accademia with multiple nearby Vaporetto stops. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and on all night. The hotel is old in a charming way; hand carved panelling in the breakfast room, marble stairway, a 2nd floor grand drawing room with armor, but the rooms were updated. I loved having built in USB wiring. And the breakfast buffet covered full english to traditional italian, with choices for yoghurt fruit lovers. I appreciated being able to have unlimited American coffee- something I like for breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
