Parking was limited but luckily got a space, a bit of a faff to sort but explained really well. Room needs some modifying, bathroom ceiling was quite bad, skirting board falling off in bathroom and the flush was hard.

Had a 3 day stay at this lovely hotel / pub in the heart of Frome. We upgraded to a balcony room and were not disappointed - the room was huge and even better it came with a lovely big bath tub and a super king size bed!! Considering the size of the room, the balcony, huge comfortable bed, and secure parking we thought it was a really good price - much less than some of the other places to stay in the town. I am told the breakfast was excellent (I preferred a lie-in) by my partner. All in all very satisfied!! Frome was also a lovely place to visit for a couple of days!

We stayed at The George Hotel as a midway stop that provided easy access to Bath. We had a standard twin room which was hidden in the back corridors of the hotel. The room was gloomy and in need of an upgrade. It doesn’t match any of the pictures offered by the hotel. Go for the premium rooms they may be what I saw and expected. The room was directly above the outdoor bar area so was quite noisy until 11:20pm. Don’t try to check in slightly early as you are unable to do so. Secured parking is very limited but there is council parking a little further down Cork St which is free after 6pm. Breakfast varied in quality from one morning to the next but overall was a good start to the day. The ladies serving breakfast were friendly and helpful regarding how to navigate getting into Bath easily.

Property and rooms are very tired and in need of a lot of work. Warm water and lots of noisy floorboards. Ok for one night but really not anything more. Parking was full and had to park on a public car park. Area is generally dingy and run down. Such a shame for what used to be a beautiful market town.

The room had recently been refurbished so it was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Staff as always were great. This was my 5th visit and I will definitely be back!

Spent one night at The George. The staff were very friendly, check in was very smooth. Very knowledgeable about car parking in the town. Our room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. We slept well. The bathroom was well appointed, the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. My partner had a full English which he was very pleased with. I had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

There's no mention on the website that the parking is around the corner & underneath a building, with a heavy manual door to negotiate open. Then there's the problem of getting the car inbetween the concrete pillars. Way too stressful. Secondly, I realised it was an old building, but having to take luggage up endless sets of stairs, in a rabbit warren, was a nightmare, not to mention how noisy the road noise is. Never again.

Lovely one night stay for a wedding, nice airy room, spotlessly clean throughout, comfy beds, lovely breakfast and a secure car park at the back - you need to ring or go to reception for the carpark code. Would definitely stay again. Reasonable fee for early check in.

Friendly, helpful and informative staff. Central location. Parking, hmmnn, a bit tight. You're relying upon the good parking of others. Also, it's a centuries old coaching inn, with no air-con. Unfortunately our stay coincided with unseasonably high temperatures (32C+) and we were in a top floor room (no.13 !) A small fan was provided, but this had little effect against the oppresive heat.
