Rooms were great, the fan was quiet and strong, breakfast delicious, ideal location.

Rooms were refurbished to a high standard. Our room overlooked a very well maintained private garden by the river. Parking can be an issue but we got a place. Service and staff were very good at our dinner and breakfast. Our Trout dinner was fresh from the nursery close by. The full English breakfast was excellent.

Lovely and historic inn. We absolutely loved both the cottages and the staff who were excellent. Highly recommend.

Staff very friendly

The rooms and staff and all were very nice. The town is extremely small though and these gigantic buses came through and dropped off loads of people so it no fault to the hotel but the peaceful tranquility gets a bit lost when there are too many people for the four places in the town.

My wife and I stayed in cottage fo a night. It was great! Dinner was wonderful. Cottage was perfect for us!

Overpriced & incorrectly advertised. Service incredibly slow, evening meal took well over an hour to arrive. Breakfast was wrong twice and completely overcooked. Contractors started working right outside my window at 0830 - would have been nice to get some warning or a reduction on bill.

Excellent location, staff were friendly and helpful, beds were very comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was ok. The steak was very over cooked and was like a frisbee. The duck was tough, the triple cooked chips were hot and delicious. The breakfast menu had a great selection and was very good.

Good choice for breakfast & staff very helpful at all times. Nice sitting rooms. Had dinner on one night - menu had reasonable choice but some items not available. Service very efficient & all staff efficient & pleasant. Only issue is car parking which is restricted.

From booking to checkin our experience was excellent. Room was clean, all staff friendly, welcoming and helpful and we were able to have our dog with us. Would highly recommend staying here

The stay was perfect, they gave us a complimentary upgrade as it was my girlfriend’s birthday and the room was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant and bar were lovely. 10/10 stay, would definitely come here again.
