Loved the pub and Simon was super helpful. Best nights sleep ever in the best bed with lovely soft pillows. Food very good, especially breakfast (full Yorkshire breakfast) overall such great find. Highly recommended. Very dog friendly and lovely atmosphere.

No food available on Monday or Tuesday but they don’t tell you that until you arrive

We have stayed multiple times before and have loved it. The breakfast staff had not been told by the night time staff that we had pre booked breakfast, the poor lady was in a real flap about it, we waited a long time, didn’t see a menu so left without breakfast. There was a mix up with the bill from the meal the night before so we were charged for things we hadn’t had. All a bit disappointing

Excellent accommodation. Room extremely comfortable, clean, and exactly what I needed after a 4-hour drive. Had to leave early for my appointment before I could thank you for your hospitality. Will be staying again in the future.

Room was fine. Had issue finding someone to check me In and out. Also told after booking they weren’t serving evening meals and breakfast started to late to be able to have it before the working day started.

We stayed here for a friend's wedding that was down the road. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I had emailed in advance about taxi numbers and the possibility of a slightly earlier check in so we could have the keys and drop our bags before the wedding service. They were extremely helpful over email, with a quick and polite response. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the chef (I can't remember his name, sorry) and he let us into our room, provided us with an iron and even called our taxi for us - he went above and beyond to help us out. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Facilities are good - large shower, good water pressure, nice showergel/shampoo/conditioner. Tea/coffee and a bottle of water to wake up to were great. We had a lovely stay and if we are ever in the area again, we would stay here.

A lovely warm greeting on arrival from all of the staff. A delightful room , pleasant bar and superb food. Faultless! Home made pie was my highlight! A lovely village to walk around too. Only a one night stay but would be back.

A very welcoming and friendly pub with modern facilities and great, locally sourced food. Very dog friendly too. The staff and chef went out of their way to make our stay a lovely and comfortable experience.

Lovely Inn. Lovely atmosphere and the young crew of staff a credit to the management team. Special mention to George who served us an early pot of tea as we came down for breakfast 30mins early!! Top marks for George The Yorkshire Breakfast was amazing :)

Friendly and professional. Evening meal was excellent value for money and the hearty breakfast set me up for the day ahead. I'll be back up in the area on business and will always be looking to stay again.

Excellent, one day, stay at this lovely little hotel. Would certainly use it again to break my North/South or South/North journey.

Romantic getaway. Wonderful, clean airy room, huge bed, huge air bath all really well set out and comfortable. Sadly there were issues with the electrics apparently and food was not available which was a shame but couldn’t fault the manager/host who gave recommendations

Warm & helpful welcome in arrival even though we arrived at tea time on Saturday night. A table in the restaurant had been reserved for us even without us having to ask beforehand. The room was lovely, clean, spacious, with a huge bed & all facilities we required, as well as a Whirlpool bath & separate shower. The bed was huge & very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced & delicious as well as a good variety. Drinks were reasonable too. An excellent place to stay & worth the money.
