So glad we found this great little Hotel tucked away in Hathersage. We could not have found a nicer place for a short break, the staff were very friendly, very efficient, food wonderful and room and the property in general absolutely great! Thank you so much for a great stay, we will definately be returning

The room was a little 'tired' and small but it was fine for me as a lone traveller. The pub is lovely and in a great location, the staff are really nice and friendly. The food was really good too.

Service and Evening meal was excellent. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly.However the room was extremely disappointing. Should not be described as "spacious" as there was not enough room to swing a cat. Decor was in need of renovation. No water pressure in shower or basin taps. Cracked tiles in shower. Coffee machine that cannot be used unless all the tea making equipment is removed and put onto the bed. Cheap fire door behind curtain leads onto road so all traffic and pedestrians sound as if they are going through the room. So cold that even with the curtains all closed and the oil radiator running all the time it was uncomfortable. Room does not match any of the images shown on the website.The bedstead and mattress looked and felt as though they were bought in the 1980's. Not enough room to get up from the toilet as it to close to the towel heater, there should be at least 600mm clearance.No shelf in the bathroom to put toothbrushes etc on. Taps again looked as though they were from the 80's. Told all the above issues to Robert who was running the place and he agreed with it all and said that he had pointed all these issues out to the owners but nothing has been put in place to remedy anything. Will never stop there again

The hotel was great. We were so well looked after by the staff who were all lovely. I had a Teams meeting in the morning. I was shown a room I could use and provided with coffee and refreshments to keep me going Great, clean and comfortable room, and our evening meal and breakfast was top notch! We will certainly book again. Thanks to all the staff .....

Comfy bed, plenty of hot water. Bit noisy next to the road early morning & no reception on tv at all

The staff are very accommodating, assisting with luggage, etc. This is a pub with 5 rooms. The room is small but they provide coffee and tea and the bed was comfortable. The only challenge was finding convenient plugs for charging electronics.

Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were brilliant. We’ll certainly be back.

An absolutely lovely hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff, a comfortable room, delicious breakfast and a convenient location for those going on hikes in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that all baked goods served in their delightful pub are from Bakewell!
