Nice hotel, centrally located. Breakfast provided a cornucopia of excellent options. Only real downside was street noise from traffic.

This hotel is in an excellent location and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffets were excellent. The fitness centre is small but well-equipped. The onsite parking was convenient. The rooms, however, failed to meet our expectations. The safe didn’t work, the hairdryer was too weak to dry hair, the conditioner container in the shower was empty, there was no mini-fridge and there was a permanent dark ring in the bathroom sink. The shelving units were ridiculous. Pointy-edged grey boxes that stuck out in all the wrong places. All three of us managed to bang our heads on the shelving units during our three-night stay. The room was also dark. We like Scandinavian hotels but this one needs a renovation - or at the very least, basic maintenance.

Spacious and modern room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. No wardrobe, just 4 hangers on a small rail. The window opens, so we can get some fresh air. No fridge. The location is excellent. We walked to most places we visited except to the new Aarhus Ø district and to the Infinite Bridge. Breakfast was good, but the only fresh fruit was watermelon. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Overall, we wete happy with the hotel and would stay there again.

The issue was the ac air mover wasn’t working and it was very hot in the room and they couldn’t fix it for the 4 days. We had to go get a fan just to sleep at night …

We enjoyed our stay of 11 days. Spacious room and bathroom. Shower has a poor design as water runs all over the bathroom floor. And we missed a small fridge in the room. Breakfasts were very good. The beds were comfortable. The Scandic Aarhus City Hotel is well situated near restaurants and shops.

This hotel was convenient for the centre of Aarhus, parking was expensive (300DKK per night) but safe and convenient. Loved that they were eco-minded: only servicing rooms on request, minimum food wastage in restaurant. Clean, comfortable and helpful staff.

Nearly everything was great, except the LED lights flickered on and off all night unless the card was removed, which is potentially a hazard if you needed to get out in the middle of the night

We loved our stay at Scandic Aarhus City so much that we came back at the end of our trip as well. The front desk staff was so welcoming and kind, eager to visit with us and to help us find out more about Aarhus. That welcoming atmosphere continued throughout all the breakfasts (can we talk about all the oatmeal options?) and throughout our entire stay in Aarhus. We walked everywhere from our hotel—to ARos Art Museum, to the department store Salling and its rooftop patio right down the street, and to and from the train station. The location was perfect for us—as was the relaxing feeling when we returned to our suite and balcony. A wonderful stay and a wonderful feeling we will keep with us.
