main complaint is that their wi-fi connectivity was terrible - an older european style luxury hotel (i loved the large bathtub and tea based soaking powder) with 'interesting' design (eg the 'juliet' balconies overlooking the dining area) - adequate but not outstanding breakfast - hotel in need of and apparently undergoing renovations (some floors) - here's the reason for my mixed grades for condition: as i often do (i travel a lot) i got a much reduced price for a room not in pristine condition - i understand the trade-offs involved, but have to say that the carpet in my room were disgustingly stained and dirty. like i said, i am used to a certain level of 'old and tired' but this was downright disgusting. not likely a problem for anyone else staying there, but management should be told. ps staff were attentive and excellent.

The staff were super frienly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance from the station (10 minute walk) and the room we were in had a great view!

1 night stopover. Pleasant hotel, a little out of town

While the staff were friendly, it was disappointing to have to pay for parking since we were staying at the hotel. The location can not be beat. Basically their focus is on weddings and is priced accordingly.

We were in Kokura to see family, & booked the room only 2 days in advance. It was a short 4 block walk from the JR train station. When we arrived the srevice was absolutely wonderful. They took our bags & offered us cool moist towels which was nice after a day of travelling. The room was nice with a fabulous view of the river. The room was good size for Japan & the bathroom was the nicest we saw while in the country. The area some shopping & food close by but not really a big tourist destination. We had a great time while seeing family in the area. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a little old and far from the station but the service is compensates it.

TAKE THE BOAT FERRIES AND YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME IN SHINGOGSEKE AREA. THIA HOTEL IS IN KOKURA BUT A TRAIN AND FERRY WIDE AWAY FROM ALL THE ATTRACTIONS. YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS LOCATION IS REALLY NICE.

Very pleasant stay, helpfull staff

Right next to the river. Within walking distance to Kokura Castle. Good reception even though they speak only little English.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Although none of the staff speak enough English to communicate verbally, they were very considerate and eager to help. For example, I was sweating heavily when I arrive. Upoon showing my confirmation number, the staff provided cold towel and promptly show the way to my room. It would have been better if they can communicate better in English (some went blank once I spoke English). The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel location was good too. I arrived via the JR train and it took me 15-20mins to get there. It is about 5-10min walk from Kokura Castle, a local tourist destination, and a mall. This made it easy for asking direction. The opposite direction of the castle was a lot of local resturants and stores. In summary, Hotel Crown Palais Kokura was a great choice for my 2 days stay and would suggest it if people are looking for hotel in the area.

Hotel is conveniently located on the river bank with castle across and nice view. Staff are friendly and helpful but rooms may need some renovations soon

小倉城に近く　桜祭りの夜散歩ができて　小倉城と市役所の壁面に映る城がダブルで撮れたのは最高でした　ここは日本❓と思うほど多国籍の方が多くてびっくり‼️

携帯では繋がったものの、PC経由だとWIFIがほとんど繋がらなかった。 部屋の設備は若干古さを感じるが、十分快適。 朝ごはんは、和洋選べて、

冷暖房が調整が出来なかった。他は満足してます。

ロビーが広々していて気分良し。
