This hotel is situated on the left bank - in the Latin Quarter lots of restaurants and cafes and very close to the Isle de la Cite sights. The hotel staff on the whole were very good, though we did feel a certain ambivalence from some members at times. The buffet breakfast is good. The main issue was the wi-fi signal. Quite simply, it was appalling in our room (i.e. outside the hotel reception area) - the connection kept dropping and sometimes the wifi connection did not come up at all. The problem may be because the Hotel is next to the Sorbonne and the university wifi signals appear to be much stronger.

Some wear in the bathroom of my room and only a fan in a Canicule of heat…no aircon on the top floor! Wonderful breskfast, inner courtyard and super helpful staff. A brilliant location in St Germain.

We always stay here when we are in Paris. The hotel with central garden is eye candy. The staff are outstanding, especially Lara and Jean, and the rooms are charming. Excellent location!

My girlfriend and I were lucky to get a room at this hotel at the last minute. I was familiar with the area from previous trips to and this neighborhood is one of the best in Paris. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful, the hotel was overall quiet and clean. The location is great for both city experience and sight seeing (we were more interested in the former) and is very safe. You can walk along la Rue Bonaparte with antique galeries on both sides to the Seine.

This is a lovely hotel right in the part of Paris I like best. It has a good welcoming feel. I particularly liked the option of eating breakfast in the courtyard each morning. We had a really nice large room overlooking the street. Beds were very comfortable. We were given 2 large fans to help us cool down on sweltering days. See both agreed we shall return to this hotel in the future.

Hotel fantástico e bem localizado!

Fabulous location in the heart of Paris where writers and artist from the past used to gather. Walking distance to lovely cafes, impressive local church, terrific neighborhood. The hotel was lovely with very generous sized rooms. Huge bathroom, nice honey-based toiletries, comfy beds and quiet throughout for a restful night sleep. Front desk was always helpful. Ample breakfast in a quaint breakfast room from 7:30 am to 11:00am so anyone can sleep late. Nice shady inner courtyard for a respite with a drink or your morning coffee. Highly recommended.

We've been staying at the Hotel D'Angleterre for 40 years since we met there back in 1988. We've gone back almost every other year over all this time. We simply love it. Barry & Christine

I loved this hotel! Location is excellent, people were great. Other reviews said the rooms were small but for a major European city the rooms were a good size. The hotel itself is more of a classic old vibe but everything is very clean and kept very well. Definetly would stay here again!

Fabulous location with a gorgeous courtyard garden.

The hotel was perfect in every way. The staff were helpful, the breakfast delicious, a cute little bar and our room number 5 was spacious and lovely. Thank you!

Great breakfast

There are so many wonderful things about this hotel. The location is fantastic. The staff extremely welcoming and kind. The history of the hotel is alive while staying there. The breakfast is delicious and the dining room room comfortable. But it definitely needs refreshing. And just some good old-fashioned maintenance. I think it is a little expensive considering this. But it was still an enjoyable experience.

This is a beautiful property. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is plentiful. What is missing for a four star hotel are little extras that you expect, like slippers and a robe. You also expect a four star hotel to have air conditioning. We stayed in seven hotels during our 23 day trip and this was the only one that didn’t have air conditioning. It was also the most expensive of the hotels. The room temperature was uncomfortable even after they brought a fan. As a result we had three poor nights of sleep. Unfortunately we will not return to this property unless it is during the winter when air conditioning isn’t a factor.
