Very nice little hotel. Close to at least four different sandy beaches. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with options for vegetarians. Including Cretan specialties. Only downside was that the air conditioning was in the living room only and didn't get to the bedroom. They gave us a fan and it improved things a lot.

Close to many beaches and close to regular bus service to Chania. Easy access to trips. Many restaurants in area too

Veronica hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff is helpful and easy to work with. Four of us stayed two nights. The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from the beach but the area feels a bit isolated and there isn't really a beach scene going on around the hotel. The hotel breakfast is adequate to get you going but nothing too special. It takes about 10 minutes to get into Chania old town with a car.There are a couple of good restaurants within a 3 minute drive where you can overlook the water and watch the sunset.

We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The ONLY good thing about the property is located in a very nice location, safe and near the beach with convenient restaurants near by. Be warned-The property and staff were disappointing. We booked a specific room facing the garden (did not exist), confirmed, and yet received a side room with no view and in terrible condition. The room charge was not adjusted for the less desirable location. The room condition was terrible. The bathtub/ shower was not clean and had rust spots in the base of the tub. The doors were scrapped for painting but never completed. We were told to purchase our own hangers for our clothing! Upon departure, the staff tried charging us an additional $40 for the use of a safe. When we showed that this charged should have been included they were obnoxious in their response. Furthermore- every time you pick up the phone to call the front desk or local number- you are charged for the call. Be aware that this is NOT a quality property and that the service was not the hospitality we have previously experienced in our many trips to Crete.

Nicely located hotel with some inexpensive Tavernas in the neighbourhood that do set evening meals, small kitchenette in the room we stayed in and a Lidls store just around the corner.

One would think that when a hotel lists Air Conditioned, this means that one can expect the rooms to be air conditioned. This is not a given. In this hotel/room, the living room is and the bedroom isn't and was over 30 degrees C. when I arrived. It took four days of blowing cool air from living room to bedroom with a supplied fan. The listing states room is 44 m sq.None of the rooms on this floor are close to that. Mine is 32m sq. (there is an architectural floor plan on the door for the entire floor). Many hotels provide refrigerators or minibars these days. It seems that the addition of only a sink and hotplate is considered enough to then call it a kitchenette. For anyone who really expects to cook anything, these "kitchenettes" are a big disappointment .A microwave would be more useful than these 1 and 2 burner hotplates.And, oh yes, the internet speed is glacial, as others have also noted, and unfortunately the problem may be endemic to this part of the city because of outdated telephone lines incapable of DSL.Expect speeds not exceeding 50KB/sec. Hot water was good (again, solar, but with an "tankless" heater for supplemental heating). Hotel is a bit overpriced if you are not interested in the sauna,exercise room, etc.

Quite close to the beach with some nice restaurants in the area. Not close to downtown, but the area is quiet which can also be nice for relaxing or small kids. Wi-fi is very poor, making it difficult to get any work done here.

Overall great hotel, and attached restaurant was great too! Wi-fi internet service very slow unfortunately which lowered the quality of overall hotel experience for me.

comfy bed, spacious flat, strong though simple shower, basic self catering facilities perfectly functional. Very helpful friendly staff. Shop b just down the road with excellent quality fruit - better than other places! overall great value for money. May 2014. A bit noisey as not very well soundproofed. Blinds on windows to block out heat.

My mum and I stayed in the veronica on the last week of august 2013, right away as soon as we got to the reception 2 people met us with a happy face and introduced there self very nice I thought as we were already happy with the outlook of the hotel. We thought it was very near to anything that took your fancy as 3 beaches were near you plus a good couple of taverners, not your usual anoying street where you are hounded every few seconds, we took in a lot of the sites and staff and people around the area were very friendly. Rooms are your usual tidy but thats all uou want if your spending it most outdoors we had lovely towels made into swans, overall cracking hotel. X

Hôtel très bien, parking gratuit devant, personnel très accueillant et chaleureux. Un grand merci de nous avoir attendu malgré 3h de retard de vol et une arrivée après minuit. Seul bémol, la dureté des lits et la taille du bac de douche très très petit. Petit dej très bien

Hinta-laatu Ok. Ei hieno, mutta ajoi asiansa. Aamupalalla lähti nälkä, hulppea se ei ollut. Seinät olivat paperia, parhaat päivänsä nähnyt hotelli. Siisti ja turvallinen, ystävällinen asiakaspalvelu. Kävelymatkan päässä parikin rantaa ja lukuisia ravintoloita. Bussilla pääsi helposti keskustaan.
