Quinta Nova is a beautiful Quinta in spectacular surroundings. It is very comfortable and the service is impeccable - probably the best welcome of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The restaurant was also excellent - with enough choice for 3 fabulous meals even though the menu didn’t change during our 3 night stay. The walking trail around the vineyards is superb and a real highlight of our stay.

A stunningly beautiful area and property. We had a lovely tour of the museum and winery with a wine tasting immediately after the tasting. We stayed 2 nights and both breakfast and dinner were delicious!

Very good hotel in a superb location with excellent staff. Our only complaint is that it was a bit chilly and there was no heat in the bathroom. This is controlled based on the time of year rather than the temperature.

Absolutely lovely property. Quinta Nova went out of their way to ensure we have a lovely stay. The restaurant was the best food we had in all of Portugal.

This is a magical and peaceful place high up in the mountains in the Douro Valley. The Quinta is decorated quaintly and the property has multiple seating areas and walking trails in which to enjoy the 360 degree spectacular views of terraced vineyards and the Douro River. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food and wine is delicious, and oh ... did I mention the views! Treat yourself to splurge in this special place!

Beautiful property! Staff was amazing! Without a car there are limited locations for lunch and dinner off-property. The menus do not change day to day on site. Therefore after a few days we were ready for some new food options. Very peaceful setting and a lovely way to start our Portugal vacation.

Had a lovely time. The pool needed some cleaning and would’ve loved a bigger bed. The food was good and scenery around the location was outstanding.

Very beautiful and relaxing location. The pool and views were incredible. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Overall a wonderful stay. It is about halfway between peso de régua and pinhão; about a 40 minute drive from each. The train stop is very close though.

Perfect place for a Douro Valley stop. Very quaint, lots of charm, lovely staff, amazing views, nice restaurant with wonderful food. We had a crazy storm come in so we weren’t able to enjoy the pool and outside eating as much as we’d have liked. The wine tasting tour left much to be desired so I wouldn’t go there just for that.

Spectacular site well worth the cost. The ONLY demerit we found was the unchanging menu every day. Whereas everything on the menu is exquisite, the lack of variety grew tiresome after 3 days of meals.

Staff: 5 stars - Tirelessly working around the clock to provide a great service across the day. Food & Wine: 5 stars - we spent two nights eating and drinking at Quinta Nova. Although the menu is fairly limiting given its fine dining credentials, the quality and freshness of the food was second to none. Room: 4 stars - the room was nicely decorated with old period furniture. The only thing that it could have done with was a mini fridge to keep the water cold Pool & Surroundings: 5 stars - people come to this place for the view. It’s very well kept and absolutely stunning. In summary Quinta Nova is an exceptional stay. Although it’s quite expensive for the food and wine, it’s well worth it. This place does not have many rooms, meaning the winery is not flooded with guests. This means you can relax on-site without their being too many people. That’s worth a premium if you ask me.

The property and the service are amazing. Probably one of the best in the region. HOWEVER, it's located in the opposite side of the main road, so getting to the hotel is a far and a somewhat difficult drive specially when it's dark. Because of that it may be a better option to find a similar quinta in the other side of the river.
