This is a gorgeous hotel with exceptional service. Our room was large and comfortable. The entire historic property has been lovingly restored and is beautifully maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included in the very reasonable room price and was delicious. They also generously give hotel guests a glass of wine each night. The location is a few minutes walk from the funicular, La Chascona (Pablo Neruda’s house), and many, many restaurants and bars. Other great sights are a short Uber ride away.

We were very impressed when we arrived lovely old building beautifully done room. Then things went a little south. Front desk was pushing a private car to the Andes ($500) and rubbished the cheaper group tours… we found our own group tour and it was an excellent. Breakfast starts at 7.30…. But most tours start earlier so no breakfast… out all day come back to an unserviced room told we should have hung the sign on the door! 😂. 4.30am start to airport they did have a breakfast box for us but can’t be taken through immigration so left it! Heaps of restaurants within walking distance

This may be the best hotel I ever stayed in. It has a classic, art deco vibe to it and the lounge is just amazing. The continental breakfast is really good and the staff went above and beyond during my stay. The room was clean and comfortable and it had a great central location right next to the Pablo Nureda home and museum. Also, the complementary glass of wine every day was a great way to relax after a long day of exploring the city. The only drawback is they don’t have an elevator so if you have trouble with stairs be advised that some of the rooms include a climb of up to three floors. But I actually wouldn’t mind going back to Santiago just to stay here again. It’s like a step back in time and just a wonderful experience.

Our stay at Hotel Boutique Castillo Rojo was excellent from start to finish. The staff was wonderful — professional, welcoming, and always helpful throughout our stay. Parking was easy and convenient, which made traveling around the city much less stressful. The breakfast each morning was excellent, with a great variety and high-quality food. We also really enjoyed the wine bar inside the hotel, which added a relaxing and elegant atmosphere in the evenings. One of the best features of the hotel is its location. It is situated next to many restaurants, cafés, and local attractions, making it very easy to explore the area on foot. The neighborhood felt lively, safe, and extremely walkable. The hotel itself was very clean, comfortable, and full of character. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would gladly stay here again when visiting Santiago.

Beautifully appointed room and public areas made my stay a dream. The building has an interesting history. They kept the bones but did serious upgrades of bathrooms, etc. and didn’t lose the historic charm. Great breakfast, friendly employees. Location is fantastic. Plenty of restaurants around, and I was able to walk to many of the neighborhoods and attractions I wanted to see. Highly recommend!

A fantastic location set amoungst a huge range of eclectic cafes, bars and restaurants. Close to the funicular and cable car entrance. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Loveliest hotel I've stayed in for a long time. So different to the standard formula hotels. A once in a lifetime experience . 👍🙂

For a first time traveling with an autistic adult son I’d landed in an enchanted castle, full of beautiful things, wonderful services, friendly staff, a cozy bar with complimentary daily drinks and a small kitchen that treated us as royals like Beauty and the Beast that we had come to be their guests, this place could be romantic for couples and in our case of family vacation, it was perfect. I felt like I was at home, safe, convenient , within walking distance to all the restaurants in Bellavista. Around the corner is the home of the famous poet, Pablo Neruda, and then from there is the path to the Funicular that takes you up to San Cristobal Hill. The zoo is right next door, but it was closed on Monday our last day so we end up going to Costanera shopping center with the sky observatory that. The front desk staff helped me if I had any questions about my itinerary and made good suggestions to enhance my experience and safety. They even held our luggage for us and allowed us to use the common area like the computer and the tea and coffee area on second floor to refresh before heading to the airport late in the evening. Upon my late arrival, I was happily surprised with a pre-upgrade. The bed was so soft. I felt like I wasn’t even in a foreign country. There was a lady from Australia, who said that she was here 12 years ago and she came back because this place is such a special place for is beauty, convenience for the friendliness. Come and be enchanted!

The staff were amazing, so kind and helpful, so hospitable. The property is gorgeous, everything is beautiful and thoughtfully arranged. It was such a comfortable and authentic stay. They also went above and beyond for my daughter's 21st birthday with a surprise when we arrived. We will absolutely stay here again when we return to Chile someday.

Check-in was easy. No elevators, so a bit of a hike to our room on the 4th floor, but Staff assisted with bags. Our room (Classic Queen) was on the small side, but fine for two nights. The breakfasts were ample and delicious, served in a lovely ground floor room. There is a small courtyard area to sit with a coffee or glass of wine. The hotel is within short walking distance of many restaurants. Our first night was very quiet, but the second evening there was loud music ... earplugs are required. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
