Overall, the hotel doesn’t provide four-star experience at all. 1. Rooms- They would be considered spacious, Although their problems with them too. Showers and toilets are OK but there are no slippers, Also, the fridge is completely empty, They give you only one bottle of water for the entire day, other than that bed, pillows and desk are ok. 2. Service- I mean, I did not expect a great service in Europe, But come on this is a little too much. The receptionist told us that she cannot admit us to our room Although he was ready, and there were only 10 minutes left till the check-in time. We were informed that We “ Just have to wait”. This comes Across is a bit rude to be Honest. Our room has never been wiped during the four days of our day, Never properly cleaned. what was done under the name of housekeeping service was Making our bed and taking out the trash: That’s exactly all. They changed the towels Ones, which was OK. But our room service dishes, have never been taken Out. We had to put it outside our room and it was at least 24 hours until they Took it away. Doesn’t really give a very clean Image. I’ll see a room there were no options for Windows to be opened, So beware. 3. Location- Location wise, the hotel is kind of further away from the city, We wanted to be close to schonbrunn, Which was OK, but still nothing to do around, So be mindful before booking. The Metro is four minutes walk away, which is OK but other than that, you can’t really say anything special about the location

We have just spent four nights at MAXX by Steigenberger, and this review practically writes itself. Despite ongoing renovations, the hotel functioned smoothly throughout our stay. Check-in was quick and seamless. Our room was generously sized, and the bathroom was equally spacious and well designed. The breakfast buffet offered a great selection, including a small station where omelettes were freshly prepared to order — a detail we really appreciated. The variety of both hot and cold beverages was excellent, and when the coffee is good, the day simply starts better. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive to detail, which made a noticeable difference. Although the hotel is not located in the city center, it was very easy to get around using either the tram or the U-Bahn. I can warmly recommend this hotel

Very well-furnished, spacious, modern rooms. Great location, close to public transport, well connected to most touristic sites. The rooftop terrace with a sauna and lounge area was fantastic.

The location of the hotel is convenient and nice. If you like walking, it’s about 20-25 min to the centre and various attractions, otherwise there’s a metro, tram and a bus. Rooms are very spacious and look pleasant, however, some of the things are worn out and need replacement. I would not rate the hotel at 4 stars anymore. We found a good deal for it but if it was the full price, it would have felt a bit of a rip off. I was not a fan of a bathroom window to the room, you can’t see anything but if you use it at night when the other person is sleeping, the light will wake them up, also the sliding door doesn’t offer a complete privacy and sometimes gets stuck when it’s open. The double bed was made of two parts, which is not the most comfortable but ok. The duvets were old, the filling got collected in different parts of it leaving the other parts sort of empty and was not fluffy. The windows in the room where we stayed were blocked, it’s fine in winter but would have been too stuffy in summer. Cleaning was ok, sometimes they forgot to replace coffees or add paper, but, we asked for it later and they brought it, the staff was mostly pleasant. We did not take breakfast and did not have time to try wellness facilities.

At €60 per night this hotel offered exceptional value. I booked a "Plus" room, which was very spacious, had a great view of the city and a large bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. Location was convenient with both a tram stop just outside as well as a metro. You could walk to the city centre in 20-30 minutes, and the area itself was very pleasant and felt more local. As a bonus, there is a sauna and a rooftop.
