Colonial Inn is showing its age, so you're not going to be wowed by its appearance, but it still appeared maintained and clean. The bed was a bit firm, but pretty good. I'm super picky about pillows and i thought the pillows were okay for a hotel and was able to squish them around to my comfort. The bed linen was nice, non-irritating, WITHOUT any weird smells that some hotels have. For those without issues it's meaningless, but those with sensitivities, the barsoap they are currently stocking doesn't have an overpowering scent and didn't irriate my hands. Staff were friendly. Weeknight stay, so not sure if it's the norm, but it was the quietest hotel we've ever stayed at. The included self-serve breakast was nicely stocked; make your own waffles, toast, couple of cereals, instant oatmeal, muffins, fruit, hard boiled eggs, sausage, granola bars, etc. juices, coffee, tea. Ample sized parking spaces. Secure side doors. Wide array of restaurants within close walking distance. Nice area, just far enough off a main street that it's not loud. Forgot swimsuits, so didn't get to use pool or hot tub.

Good price but a little run down

Were in our room for 2 minutes before asking to see another room because ours was pretty smelly, and visible dirty (we didn't take our shoes off). The staff was kind and snowed us another room that was in a similar condition. We checked out and found other accommodations.

We enjoyed our stay, Room was cozy.Nothing negative to complain about. Would we stay again at the Colonial Inn ? YES.

Old. Old property. Old. Very well worn and tired. Acceptable, but more like a very tired Motel 6 Breakfast died. Coffee yes. Juice, well, not really, a fruit drink instead. Eggs, boiled and pre peeled, but hard time getting shells off, what a mess. Sausages, very fried. Not appealing in the least. Would not recommend

Liked outside door. I’m old with bad knees, the fewer steps the better.

Breakfast was limited, what was available was fresh. Television had very few channels, could not even get basics like thr blue jays game.

Bit of an older venue. Some rooms seem to have been renovated which is good. The venue needs a good overall renovation. Apart from that everything was clean and the staff were very helpful.

Clean rooms

Very friendly and helpful staff, we appreciated the man that worked overnight (I forget his name but at 2 am it was pleasant to have someone like him greet us and offer extended check out since he knew we were tired travellers - and also returned to me my card I had forgotten at the front desk). The breakfast had a good choice selection and was good. Basic room but everything was working great and was clean. We had a really good sleep and left the next morning fully rested and with a full belly. Did not have a chance to try the pool.

All staff were exceptionally friendly and polite. Rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was dated and worn but clean.

Good basic hotel which fit our needs

The staff was amazing. The only issue I had was that our bathroom door in our room wouldn't latch. Visiting with a toddler, it meant that he would open the bathroom door constantly if I was in there because there was no way to secure it. Other than that, it was great value for the price. The hot tub only seats 4, and even with 4 it's a little squishy. I liked that there was a separate area of the pool that was fenced in for toddlers where they can walk and splash.
