Lovely hotel, just a little out of the way and parking difficult but that is geography and not the hotels fault. Went to restaurant on their recommendation . Service there was shocking

Amazing location in the old town. Very cool old building. (Look up St. Malo in Wikipedia and you’ll see a picture of this hotel!) The staff was friendly and helpful. The shower was spacious as far as European showers go. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great, especially the local yogurt! Good restaurant selection close by.

Ideally situated near the ramparts of this interesting town. Parking is convenient in the underground car park just outside the city gates but prohibitively expensive. cheapest option is park and ride but….. Room was big and airy but very darkly decorated with dark green carpet on the floor and up the walls - bring a torch! The floor was badly stained but clean.bed was the biggest we have ever slept in and very comfortable We enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again

Great location, room was a bit small, even for Europe standards, but it was clean and comfy. Breakfast was great. Staff was helpful.

We were in a sea view studio (second time in the same room). For us it is perfect as we like to have a fridge and basic kitchen. The studio is small but great for a couple of nights. The main thing it is missing is a small bedside table on each side of the bed (even a small shelf would be great), that would make a huge difference. There is a small table (to go with the one chair) which we moved over to the side of the bed but it is quite rickety. Lovely sea view, overall very happy

We stayed in a sea view studio. We got held up and didn't check in until after dark (and had to leave early in the morning) so sadly didn't see the view, but I could just make out that it was over the top of the fortification wall which is normal for Intra Muros. Check in was at a sister hotel the Chateaubriand as there were not many guests and reception was closed but was only 50m away so not a problem. The studio is very cleverly designed so that there is a thin partitioned bit behind the bed with a breakfast bar and stools (good to work from if needed) and a small kitchen. Very happy and hope to stay there again. What would make it even better would be to add an armchair so that 2 people can sit down (there is room in the niche between the window and kitchen area), bedside tables (with storage) and a corkscrew and teatowel. But would happily stay there for a few days as very convenient.

It’s fine for one night and in a good location but the rooms are very worn out and dirty. Carpets are disgusting, furniture has tears and rips, room was not fully cleaned since the last occupant.

We had city view. Reception welcoming. Comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was held on 1st floor , large room brightly decorated, tablecloths, all beautifully laid out. Large selection of hot and cold breakfast food. Would most definitely stay there again.

Stains all over the floor. Didn’t feel clean at all, towels and bedding felt old. We requested a shower room and were given and bath, front of house very kindly let us swap rooms but we paid for a superior room and it felt anything but superior. Positive is good parking and central location

Pub next door a bit noisy

Nice hotel, reception staff very helpful eg in booking restaurants, good breakfasts, room had good sea view as advertised. Only problem was that the in-room safe did not work and as far as we know noone did anything about this when we reported this.

Good all round hotel.

The room and hotel were lovely and you can see the changes they are making to improve the facilities. The room was tidy and spacious and the team when above and beyond to help! Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting St Malo
