The hotel room we had on the ground floor was very dark so best not to spend too much time in it, although it was very clean and well maintained. The TV is all Italian anyway so not so good for non Italian speakers. The staff on reception were very pleasant and helpful and the breakfasts, continental style, e.g. eggs, meats, cheeses, rolls etc. were fine except for an infernal coffee machine which caused queues and was a bit difficult to operate at times. A big jug of hot coffee would be so much easier, also hot water to make tea.
The hotel has a nice clean pool area and an upstairs terrace but it is quite a long way, i.e. a 15/20 minute walk from the main action down in the central square area in regard to restaurants and shops and bus stops. There is a supermarket half-way to the town square which is open 12 hours each day.
It is an easy walk to three or four restaurants and the beach areas along the promenade or across the road but for more choice it's down to the main square.
