We reserved a room that was on the second floor (in other words, the 3rd floor). We were hoping for a ground floor, but we were advised that was not available. However, we were moved to anothe location, with minimum stairs. We were very grateful!

Loved this spot in Lucca. Comfy bed, updated bathroom and lovely breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to store my bag after check-out time which gave me more time to explore Lucca. Would definitely stay here again.

I so thoroughly enjoyed my stay at La Gemma di Elena! It is a lovely property situated near the city center- walking distance to everything you might want to see. Around the corner from the Piazza del Anfiteatro. The property appears to have been someone's flat at one point- and is now divided into several guest rooms and a large entry room where a tasty breakfast is served every morning. The room was well appointed- complete with a mobile air conditioning unit which was key in late August this year! It was the best night of sleep that I experienced my entire two weeks in Italy! The staff were very kind- and I believe it was one of the owners that carried my luggage downstairs for me when I was leaving. Highly recommend this little gem if you are traveling to beautiful Lucca! :)

Fantastic stay in a beautiful apartment

The position of this B&B is great, in the old centre of Lucca, surrounded by great places to visit and good restaurants. The place itself is charming, a little run down but everything worked. There was no toilet paper in my bathroom, which was disappointing. But the breakfast was very good.

Stay was great as i was in for some work and it was easy to get in and out of. Staff was helpful.

Charming, clean, comfortable, great location. Fabulous breakfast offerings. Finding it was tricky because I was depending on my phone map but the host was very helpful when I called with questions and offered to drive with me to park in their very safe gated lot. Really sweet staff. Great stay.

We loved our stay! The one recommendation is to scope out your driving route ahead of time. DO NOT let GPS guide you! We ended up in the wrong area! Other than that, the staff helped us get there once we found our way back! When you park on site, they will set it up so you don’t get fines for driving in the permit zone.

Nice room, very good breakfast and very convenient location. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and helpful, she waited for our late arrival.

As the name suggests, this place is a gem in Lucca. Well maintained, spacious apartment in a typical historical home. Elegant lady owner Elena and staff do their best to give you a unique experience.

Exceptional service. While we were having a picnic in the courtyard, one of the staff brought us wineglasses, plates and ice without being asked. So nice!

Lovely guesthouse located in a great part of town. Room was spotlessly clean and the small balcony was an added bonus. Unfortunately due to Covid breakfast wasn't available, but a refund was issued for the inconvenience.

Very good, very friendly and helpful staff. Getting there is a bit confusing since you have to drive through limited zones, but the hotel takes care of this by registering your car with the local authorities on arrival. Excellent location at a reasonable price! Good breakfast.

I had a great two night stay. The room was clean and large. It wasn’t hot enough for air conditioning so I slept with the window open and woke up to birds chirping. I was happy with the location as b&b was less than a five minute walk from restaurants, bike rentals and the main entrance to the city. It was less than ten minutes to most of the other landmarks, except the train station, which was a 20 minute walk as it was on the other side of town. Staff was pleasant.
