Staff was great. Easy check in and out. Free parking and close to restaurants and shopping. Beach close by.

Stayed for one night on arrival at resort before moving into our two week accommodation for which the check in was the following day. Late check-in at 00.15 with no problem. Bedroom, shower room, kitchenette and living area all clean even though the decor was a little dated. Friendly welcome, nice cocktails, no problems.

Positives-Good value for money. Price included A/C. Well situated for beach, Lidl supermarket and shops and bars etc.....Reasonably spacious, light and clean apartment. Negatives-4km walk along polluted road into central Rethymno and buses often full and refusing to take more passengers, so hard to go into town. Hotel linen very old and frayed. Otherwise good place to stay. Would use again if a car was hired.

The apartment is well designed and provides everything that one needs for a good holiday. The management and staff are discrete, but also very helpful with anything that you ask them. The property is very well situated and also it is kept immaculately clean and well serviced

We were one day only in this hotel. Very good location near of cafes, shops, bars. Hotel has very nice bar near of reception with nice view to the street. Hotel is not so far from high way. It's ideally for traveling tourists. Unfortunately this hotel has no parking so there need to park car on the street. Hotel is not so fresh but very clean. Appartment has one big room with kitchen area and area with sofa and tv, beadroom and bathroom. Unfortunately no wifi in the room.

In general we had a good, pleasant and restful stay. If you don't mind pebbles on the beach then this hotel is in a good location, otherwise you are going to have to take a bus € 1.30 to get closer to Rethymno to find a beach with no pebbles or rocks. To use the bus we had to buy our tickets from the tobacco kiosk or the supermarket down the road. Some bus drivers refuse to take anyone without a ticket even if offered exact cash as payment..!!! Many roads... especially on the south coast are bad and narrow...not worth the risk at all. North coast is best and more than adequate. Elafonisi; Falasarna in the west are best for shallow and sandy beaches. Don't Bother Paying To Go To Balos....it is a waste of time, effort and money...!!! Bali Beaches are nice. Driving on Crete roads is demanding. Drivers drive on the hard shoulder to give way to faster cars. Too many bends because of the mountainous nature of the Island. In some places is not wide enough for 2 cars..!!. Cars don't stop to let you cross safely at a crossing, you have to make them stop by stepping and walking on the road.....Please use your common sense and be alert.... Good Luck.

Booked 5/14- 5/16. The Katerina Hotel Apts was perfect in every way. Gracious service and staff, clean and spacial apts, absolutely the best in location – one block from beach, short bus ride to Rethymno, quiet away from congestion. Accessible to restaurants, and café’s. Would book again definitely.

This is a lovely small hotel, not five minutes walk to the beach, the essential supermarket and good food. Katerini, Maria, George and Andonis were always helpful with any queries or our needs. We requested a quiet room in a corner and we were given the best. The small kitchen facilities were enough for two people, all the kitchen facilities worked well. The air-conditioning was a perfect foil for the hot afternoon siestas and the warm nights. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean and well serviced. The pool was sparkling clean. The family are patient with driving directions, excellent suggestions on dining options, information on neaby facilities and any queries regarding the area around Rethymno. We have no complaints whatsoever about any of the service this hotel offered. The family looked after us as their own. Even offered us the sweetest apricots from the tree in the garden! First time visit to Crete, this is a gem of a find. We will gladly stay there every time we are in the area. Thank you Katerini Hotel family.

Nice hotel in a good location. Close to the beach, shops and other. Good base for trips to other places in Crete. Helpful staff. Clean rooms, spacious. Fresh, repainted, new TV equip. Comfortable conditions in a very good price

The hotel was pretty nice for someone who just wants to get away from the big city and into a small little town. The staff were nice and overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel.

The owners were very kind and helpful, the room was very cute and we loved how it was a block away from the beach. Great value!

Madrasses are very hard. Difficult to sleep. Personallista friendly .

Arriving incredibly early from the airport I chanced asking to check in as we arrived in Rethymnon at 07.30am. The family were really helpful and we were in our room within 5 minutes. Great service overall, clean, basic but good rooms and fab ice creams in the bar for the kids!

Spacey, very clean that is a very nice familiy-run hotel in Platanes! Situated close to the street but still fine in terms of noise. The kitchenette in the apartment was fully equipped. Close by are many tavernas and bars as well as small supermarkets, where you can get almost everything from fruits to water, vine, snacks and bread and whatever you may like. The staff is very kind and helpful :-) The pool area is also nice, though we spent most time on the beach close by. It's only a 5 minute walk from the Katerini hotel. The bus to Rethymno stops just right across the street. You can probably not find any better accommodation at this rate with this kind of service and facilities.We will most likely come back here very soon.

The apartment was very spacious and airy. Close to everything in the village and bus routes. The room maid was nice and helpful. The staff is very kind and helpful. - There is a cool bar at the entrance with very reasonable prices and a good variety of offers. - The rooms are clean and the kitchen is sufficiently well equipped for preparing simple dishes. The rooms are fairly big and we even had a terrace. I would highly recommend Katerini Apartments.

Struttura carina , si trova in una via principale di un paesino con molti negozi ristoranti bar e supermercati . Gli appartamenti sono ben insonorizzati , forse unica pecca per noi che avevamo l’auto é che non ha parcheggio e bisogna cercarlo nella via dietro . Le pulizie vengono fatte ogni 2 giorni . Ha anche la piscina . Le spiagge sono a circa 10 - 15 minuti a piedi . Per noi è stata una bella esperienza

Bra opphold, sentralt beliggende i området med kort vei til butikker/restauranter og Strand. Minuset er ikke AC på soverommet bare i stua Stor balkong med sol til sene kvelden.
