We stayed at this hotel the first time I came to Santo Domingo, which was exciting, but this time the service was poor. We had to carry our luggage 4 flights of stairs. The staff gave no assistance. You always have to constantly tip.

I stayed at this hotel about 17 years ago. It was good back then but now the management does a super job. All employees were very efficient and had great attitudes. Best hotel I have stayed at in a long time.

Great staff. Walking distance from restaurant, bars, museums and shopping.

Staff really friendly

Nice place to stay. A little be noisy during the day, because all the music from outside. But in general is a perfect stay to stay and looking arround in the colonial city of santo domingo.

There is a balcony with a great view of the area. The staff was really helpful with bringing up our bags. There isn’t an elevator though.

We loved staying at the Conde de Penabla right in the heartbeat of colonial sector. There was so much to see within walking distance and we could have extended our 2 night visit to 3 to take it all in. Plaza Colon was so entertaining with music all day. Only criticism was the hotel does not supply free drinking water, not even filtered water for water bottle fill up. But excellent otherwise!

Hotel muy bien ubicado en el corazón del centro histórico de santo Domingo.

This is my favorite property in the entire DR. It sits in the middle of one of the more prominent historical districts in the country. It is extremely safe and includes everything you would need on vacation, replete with restaurants, pharmacies, a casino, grocery stores and many of the fast food chains, like Burger King, Pizza Hut, and KFC. lots of sites to explore including alot of local art. The hotel is small but beautiful and the staff is always very nice, professional and accommodating.

We love this hotel for couples only getaway. It has amazing views and great beds. Only downside is no elevators and outside noise
