Set in a lovely building and village with beautiful views. Really recommend. Rooms a little bit tired but did not ruin our stay as it was a great base. Mexican restaurant, bar and outside space was lovely. There is a local shop and some pubs within walking distance in the village too. Close to Yeovil etc. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

Lovely helpful staff gave me a cool ground floor room in a heatwave with a fan as no air conditioning as it's an old traditional property. . Breakfast was good and I had smashed avocado and bacon on sourdough toast. Nice to see fresh fruit salad too. Can't comment on the evening meal as we went to the Italian a short walk away in the village

We booked the comfort double room ensuite, it was ok, but it was not spacious. The shower was a corner one, I’m only 5’4” and slim and felt it was ‘cosy’, not easy to turn around in, from photos I was expecting a walk-in shower. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff were helpful. The hotel is in a quiet area, we needed a good sleep after a long day. As I don’t eat spicy food we went along the road to an Italian restaurant which was recommended and very good. There’s also a pub nearby which serves food.

This hotel was really competitively priced so it was a no brainer. However we didn’t expect it to be as nice as it was. The grounds around the hotel are lovely, the planting of roses everywhere was very dramatic. Our four poster bedroom was very comfortable. The floorboards are very creaky but that’s a small price to pay. We had breakfast and an evening meal in the restaurant chilli’s, and I couldn’t recommend this enough, the Mexican evening meal was exceptional. Would return in a heartbeat!

This is a basic facility hotel, which in fairness offers reasonable value for money. Rooms are small and noise disturbance from adjoining rooms is a problem. Bed was comfortable but room cleaning needs better attention. Food was good and this is a nice venue for a function.

This was an excellent stay. I was made to feel truly welcome throughout and the staff really did go above and beyond. It was refreshing to stay in an independent hotel and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely reception and excellent room. Free parking and choices in the village to eat. Shower tap needed attention but apart from that a nice place to stay
