It's a nice place, the service was great and the staff very helpful, we enjoyed our stay will definitely go back though there was a lot of noise from corridor. But its good place very clean and neat.

The Road Lodge had no record of my booking and after 20 minutes reloaded my booking. I am not sure who's fault this is? The room was fine and the staff very polite. There was a shortage of staff in the kitchen which resulted in waiting time of 90 minutes for a meal.

Restaurant was under staffed. Orders was delayed too long. Rooms are clean and tidy

I feel like they can improve on some few things like dining the stuff shouldn't wait for the food on the buffet to run out before they refill it and they should regularly check whats missing on the buffet Reception stuff should respond in time for requests

Everything was on point.my hubby was happy for his birthday suprise

I always enjoy staying at Southgate Road Lodge. However, I was not pleased at all with the Malta pudding I ordered. It was rubbering and I only ate the custard, which was excellent. The reception staff compensated me by reducing my bill by the R70 price of the Malta. Other than this incident, am happy.

Amazing. But, please put a fridge in the room

The stay was good for the purpose

The front desk staff was excellent. After my online booking did not show up on the PC, they assured me they would sort it out and even allowed me to go to my room while they were addressing the issues. They were friendly and professional and always maintained eye contact when you were in the room, letting you know they would help!

Convenient location

It's the second time I had a bad experience with my booking through Hotels.com. Not sure what is the communication problem. I made my bookin for 20 - 21 November but the hotel had it for 20 - 21 October. Luckily they could accommodation us with the 3 rooms I have booked.

Air-conditioner was making too much noise

Just wondering if standard hotelservice supposed to provide the basics. Not used to the shortage of coffee soap etc in the hotel room

The toilet was not working and we discovered it late at night we had to be moved to another room and the floor is very cold no mats you have to use towels to put on the floors after bathing when you are busy dressing up.
