Well impressed by this particular hotel.

Honestly a perfect spot for the night and in the middle of our travels. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the free breakfast was actually good with many options. Shout out to Summer who greeted us. She was very kind and insightful on where to go in Barrie in terms of shopping. Only note (which wasn’t a problem for us, I just forgot to mention it as we were leaving) was our bathroom at times smelled like cigarettes. It didn’t affect the whole room but was something we noticed, and was probably someone sneaking a smoke in the building unfortunately. Like I said it wasn’t a problem for my family and I, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and will rebook in the future when we’re in the area.

Room was in poor shape, tiles coming off the walls in bathroom, shower head not attached, mold on ceiling. Bucket in hallway catching a roof leak. Prob the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in years and not what we are use to

Breakfast staff were friendly and helpful

The hotel was comfortable and the beds were great. However when we booked the room was advertised as “renovated” and I found the shower a little dirty and stained. Also we were there for a dance competition and were excited about the back-lit mirror for makeup application but our light was not working. Our floor was stinky because people were smoking in their room.

The breakfast was subpar - I ended up going to Tim Hortons across the street. The mattress was horrible and the bathroom wasn't as clean as I would like.

Last time I’m booking through Expedia. This hotel is not worth $968 for two nights. In town for a youth basketball tournament. Will not be recommending or using Expedia again.

Clean room and very good staff!

We stayed one night in a King Premium room. We asked during booking for a ground floor and the staff happily accommodated. At check-in, the staff were super friendly. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities (refrigerator, microwave, and even shower mats). We could even park outside the room and have access via the patio doors. The sofa bed was great and comfortable, as was the desk chair. You could tell that these are older rooms but they are kept in great shape. The breakfast was fantastic and had all that one would want. We will most likely use this hotel as our hotel of choice the next time we are staying in Barrie.

In addition to BROWN water in bathrooms, it seems that they have a ventilation problem: 1. When we entered the hotel, it smelled horribly like fish, which may be due due diff reason, but the smell was there for hours . 2. In the morning, I woke up with kitchen smells (not that bad, but still dont expect this as a feature)

Honest opinion, hopefully will help management to improve and warn the guests in case its not improved: **** Apparently its a known issue that Berrie's water pipes are not the best, half of the rooms have literally BROWN water coming out from the shower and the faucet. ==> Suggestion to future guests: As soon as you enter the room, check the water in the bathroom !!!!!! It was very unpleasant surprise when we wanted to have a shower before bed after a tiring day and only after very long conversations, we were able to get a proper room with shower, which caused us to go to bed at midnight!!!! Everybody were frustrated and tired - literally ruined the whole experience. ==>Suggestion to management: Despite the fact that the front desk was nice and polite about it and its not their fault, as its a known issue, please make sure that before the room key is given, the room was actually inspected properly and it was done RECENTLY ! P.S: if no room would have found, the solutions we were suggested: 30$ credit or shower in a separate room, in my opinion , ITS NOT A SOLUTION! Thankfully, room with proper shower was found

Amazing stay! Amazing Breakfast! Amazing Staff! Robert went above and beyond for us, we will definitely be back soon.

Staff was very friendly. Pool was beyond frigid, basically unusable. Breakfast was decent, and the servers were very nice.
