Good location and room was clean and spacious with nice decor. The hotel is not air conditioned and we had to have the curtains pulled most of the time to keep the sun and heat out. The room was much warmer than the rest of the hotel and it was pretty difficult to sleep. The garden is a real benefit but could do with repairs and proper maintenance and care. The attractive sleigh bed in the room was comfortable but the legs stuck out into the room and I managed to break my little toe on one. The breakfast was excellent in terms of food quality but it was spoilt by the loud and dominant TV in the breakfast room. We waited for our breakfast and then decamped to the garden to get away from it. Overall, the hotel was okay but it could be so much better.

During our recent visit, we opted for the "No Windows" room option and were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in what felt like a self-contained apartment. The room was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and remarkably spacious, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. The amenities provided, such as the air conditioning and high-speed WiFi, were both efficient and reliable, adding to our overall satisfaction. The check-in process was seamless, handled expertly by the attentive and friendly staff. Their professionalism and warm demeanor contributed significantly to our positive experience. We were so impressed that we are already contemplating another visit—my wife is actively seeking an excuse to return. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

Good parking. Excellent breakfast

We enjoyed our stay at the Cley Hall hotel and would willingly return. The car parking was easy and Ben welcomed us and gave us all the essential information on our arrival. Our room and bedding were clean and comfortable, and we slept well. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choice and quickly cooked. All in all a comfortable and relaxing stay. Would definitely return.

The check in was excellent and Olga was delightful, really friendly and helpful. There was parking out the front and the room was bright. The breakfast was great as everything was cooked to order and plenty of choice. The hotel is quite old, but well maintained and nice gardens. Good location. The staff made our stay.

The best thing about this property is the staff and the breakfast. Also the room was large and decorated nicely. The hotel is extremely tired. Annex rooms are small, poor quality and scalding water - stayed there in 2025. This year I was in the main building in an executive double room. Water was luke warm in a morning - every morning. Curtains hanging off and don’t close properly. Take your own hairdryer as the ones they provide are poor. The property is tired and needs the basics sorting. Doubtful I’ll return for my 2027 trip

Check in was quick and easy , room spacious well equipped and clean , after hours access was straightforward and parking ample All staff were cheerful , helpful and attentive.The breakfast was one of the most pleasant I have had in a long time - quality ingredients , well presented and served while piping hot Well done Cley Hall

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was 1st rate - having been upgraded to an executive room! The general feelfid not come over as a 4* establishment eg Staff attire was very casual and at times slovenly.

Our room was large and spacious with a very comfortable bed. It was clean and also had 2 x easy chairs. The ensuite was was also sizeable. With a shower over the bath and a heated towel rail. WiFi reception was good. Range of cooked breakfast was good and the food was excellent. Continental breakfast items were also available. Staff were friendly. Parking was easy. We would stay again.

The positives- off street parking available. Breakfast is from 7am and there is a good choice available, including fresh fruit. Negative (for Room 11 in the secondary building) - single gazed windows with condensation, so allowed noise of street traffic in throughout the night. Curtains do not close fully so light streams in with sunrise. Shower - huge leaks from both ends of shower head pipe. Storage shelf in bathroom on large downward angle & about to fall off. All of the above raised at checkout. Central heating not turned on (was about 3C at night); thankfully there was a plug in radiator in cupboard. Room is tiny, barely enough space to put down bag & turn around. Room & door not sound-proofed, can hear opening/closing of doors & bathroom fan of room next door. Overall the hotel is in dire need of an upgrade.

No plug in bathroom hand basin. 2 lightbulbs not working. Divet ripped on seam. Room cold no heating or extra blanket.

I had a single room, room was cold as the boiler was faulty. Large window in that room and the wind was blowing through, thick curtains didn’t help. Staff were friendly and help. Morning breakfast was large and great, very enjoyable. But there where no weekend evening meals at the Hotel

It is a clean and tidy hotel perfectly located. It is a bit dated and in need of some TLC. When I am back in Spalding on business, i will more than likely stay here again simply for its great location.

A great find within walking distance of pubs and eateries and yet away from the town centre. The room was spacious and clean and the staff were efficient and polite. With an excellent breakfast and plenty of parking the only downside I can report is that some of the furniture in the room was a little dated.

We booked this hotel merely for the location. The staff were great, the hotel is a little dated but room was comfortable and clean, the thing for me was the smell when we returned to the hotel later in the evening, it was a stale fried food smell that was all through the hotel. Breakfast was good but not sure I’d stay again.

Parking spaces are not enough. Very noisy when you turn on the bathroom light and water tap.

Breakfast was nice, all contact with staff was positive. Arrival organisation was helpful
