This hotel is a great find. Clean. Great breakfast. Super staff. The rooms are very attractive and mine had a working fireplace. They learned I was a birder and put me in touch with a local author of the Tapalpa bird guide.

Bonito lugar, buenos detalles, el staff muy amable. La distancia al centro del pueblo no es tan corta pero está facil de llegar y no hay ruido desde fuera del hotel como sucede en el centro.

The hotel is very nice however value for the price is not there. We were one of two guests total which should indicate to management that maybe price is too high. Property is farther from centro but is literally only hotel allowing dogs for an extra cost. The staff was really great and included breakfast was amazing.

The people on the back of the La casona has a rooster so he starts making this noise since 2:00 am till 12:00 pm so don’t let you sleep at all they give you something for your ears so you can not hear anything but still hear 😏

We loved this small hotel. Each room is individually decorated and unique. The breakfast was simple but wonderful and set us up for a day of exploring. The staff was attentive; we lacked for nothing. We found the bed a bit uncomfortable, too hard for our taste, but we managed. They brought us ice and stem wine glasses on request. We will definitely stay again.

We had a delightful stay, the hotel caters to all your romantic needs. Firewood for fireplace daily,nespresso machine for great espresso coffe, amazing breakfast options by Alfonso and all is included in the price. Great excursion options to see.

What a lovely experience staying at Hotel La Casona. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was nicely arranged and I enjoyed my balcony setup overlooking Tapalpa centro in the distance.

Comfortable and very authentic feeling. The only cons are that not everything listed on Expedia ( such as a pool and breakfast buffet) actually exist, and rage WiFi is non-functional in most rooms because of thick stone walls.

Uniquely decorated rooms, very pretty. Wood for fireplace which we used, cozy and warm and romantic, also candles. Good shower (water pressure, hot water). Super nice house keeper and front desk service. All in all a really nice experience and we would stay there again.

This is a very unique property with rooms decorated with various themes. We were assigned to an angels theme and a Huichol one... we enjoyed the premises very much

We found the Hotel Casona to be very comfortable. It’s is a bit of a walk to the center but that made it nice for sleeping in the very comfortable beds...very quiet. Each of the 20+ room had different whimsical decorative themes...very fun.
