We originally had a room in the main hotel which was large but we hadn’t spotted that they had lodges too. We upgraded to a lodge with hot tub for my wife’s 50th. Loved it. Well appointed and staff could not do enough for us. Went way above what was required and we are very grateful. Check in is in the coach house which is the restaurant. Now, food! Had breakfast there an evening meal and Sunday lunch. The standard is superb, loved it. The roast was huge and very very well done one of the best roasts I’ve had in a long time. Excellent. Had a prawn starter both nights and that was spot on. Burger was nailed totally. Applause to the team. Breaky was always first class well presented and staff absolutely lovely Thanks for a great weekend

Excellent stay at Kentisbury Grange, staff were really helpful, full breakfast was great and just right. The gardens were lovely. Great places to visit in the surrounding area.

Super helpful staff, and a great place to take our family for a holiday. Our second visit and still a lovely place: safe and welcoming. Having the on-site wildlife was also a hit with our eldest- who rescued a hedgehog and helped feed the ducklings. One of the shower taps sadly didn’t like turning to cold - and the cabins did get very hot (mitigation being it was the 30 degree plus heatwave)

A warm welcome from the moment we arrived. Had a first class room in the old house. Could not have wished for more. The restaurant offered great food including local seafood and excellent steaks. All sensibly priced. This in one hotel we shall be recommending to friends and returning ourselves. Faultless.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, clean room, very comfortable bed, excellent shower, delicious breakfast. Reasonably priced restaurant with a good range of quality food for your evening meal. We were only there for the one night visit because we wanted to see the shoebill stork at Exmoor Zoo but would definitely return if we going to be in the area again.

We felt the establishment was somewhat worn, and after speaking with some of the staff, we understood the reasons behind this, as they are currently undergoing a period of transition. We do recommend the place, and the staff are excellent, but I would suggest waiting a few months before making a reservation.

We stayed one night in one of the Garden Suites. However we were disappointed to find the buildings and grounds dirty and not maintained very well. Trees required trimming and overgrown areas needed clearing as they were attracting a lot of flies and midgies. The room itself was ok, bed was comfy and water was hot, however the overall appearance of the walls and ceiling was really tired compared to the images promoted. The room also wasn't particularly clean with hair, mould and dirt attached to skirting boards. The floor quite obviously hadn't been hoovered in a while with lots of bits lying around. There was no fan or air con, and you didn't really want the doors open due to the insects flying around. It would have been unbearable in 20+ heat. Having said that the restaurant had a nice array of food options, and the food was delicious and well priced. Service was a little slow but actually made for a nice evening (we had to talk to one another!) Breakfast was included and again was tasty with a good selection of choice. Some fruit options would have been nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but, in order for us to book a return visit, cleanliness and maintenance standards would need to be improved.

Not usually one to do the whole review thing but we had such a good experience. The cottage was great, the hot tub was fantastic, our food was equally good and all the staff couldn't do enough to ensure we had an excellent stay. Abi and the gent in the jacket (sorry didn't get your name) were both spot on in the coach house, an absolute credit to the grange. I'd highly recommend a stay here or even just coming for dinner :)

Me and my Wife stayed for a couple of days, staff were amazing, food was lovely ( best breakfast we’ve ever had ) and being able to relax in the hot tub in the evening really topped it off!

Our stay could not have been better. The Kentisbury Grange has beautiful setting the room was immaculate and had such lovely finishing touches from the towel to the decorative flower on the toilet roll. We only stayed for one night with breakfast included. The breakfast was delicious and service was great.

We stayed in the main house which is a lovely old house with large rooms. The decor was abit mismatched in the bedroom but clean and tidy, but the bathroom was lovely!! The only down side was the room was abit on the cold side and heating was off. Food was cooked well, but menu was limited. Over all a good anniversary break

Where do I start. 1. On arrival - there are two signs for 'Reception' but actual 'Reception' on arrival was based in Restaurant facility. When I arrived the Receptionist could not find the key to my room, she searched and searched - she tried to contact her 'boss' but could get no response. I was offered a drink but declined as I had a function to attend. She suggested I leave my luggage and she would put this in my room whilst I was away. She tells me that the Reception is open until 11 p.m. I was told that this problem would be reported to the Boss. On my return later my luggage had remained in the restaurant/bar area. They discovered that the key was still in the Room I was about to occupy. The room did not smell very nice. However I started to unpack thinking it may be a temporary thing! but on further exploration I found that the smell emanated from the bathroom - very stinky - drain problem I am guessing. I reported this and Reception brought some drain cleaner but I knew this wouldn't help so asked to be moved. Again this was to be reported. 3. I moved to another room and was helped with this by the Receptionist - which had a more intricate way of entry and steps leaving to rooms, also above the door I noticed that it displayed an exit in the case of fire - on exploration in the room - the only other door possible for an escape was firmly locked!

The garden room wasin need of a freshen up externally, and internally particularly in the bathroom and shower. The staff were professional and helpful, and breakfast was lovely.

Staff nice and helpfull.😊 Property Facilities would need improving, lovely grounds and views, but some places (including a few Lodges) are abandoned and would need some invesment to put back in service.
