Clean, spacious and functional rooms in great location. Parking is extra and would of been helpful to know in advance where to park as street parking can get you a ticket..

The bed sheets are stained with shoe marks and very dirty; the room has a moldy smell; there is no dedicated storage area; the service is just average. The environment is terrible, and I have suffered from dizziness and vomiting.

This was a great hotel. The room and bed were huge. Everything was spotless. We travelled by public transport and the hotel was about a 20 minute walk from the station. Although the hotel is not right in the centre, it is only a few minutes from the Head of the River pub and 10 minutes from the Westgate centre. The area is beautiful and very quiet

Friendly, helpful team. Good facilities, comfy bed. Got in late and not clear how to warm room up. It did have aircon and radiators.

Very clean. Good, quiet location and easy access to the centre of Oxford. We used the park and ride at Redbridge which made it easy to get to the hotel in less than 15 minutes. We found it lacking in useful information on how to use the heating for the living area of the property, The bedroom heating was ok

Very cute boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Easily walkable in to central old Oxford. The restaurant was very good - great breakfast included in the rom rate. Oven baked pizza made fresh from scratch for dinner.

Ethos Hotel is located in a residential area about a 15-minute walk to Oxford's city center. We enjoyed the quieter surroundings and the historic neighborhood, which also was a short walk from the Thames River and its long walking paths. The hotel is located in three historic buildings from 1888 that have been renovated. The caffe is in the center building and also serves as the reception area. We found the staff to be very friendly, accommodating and responsive. The breakfast, included in our stay, was comprehensive and varied; snacks were available in the caffe, which had long hours and also served the local neighborhood: a fact that we enjoyed. We felt more integrated in the town and less "touristy." One word of caution, the original buildings are old, do not have elevators, and the staircases are narrow. Large and/or heavy suitcases can be a challenge; but we felt that the location and hotel were worth the small inconveniences of staying in an historic and "vintage" space.

We arrived at midday & our room & parking space was available at no extra cost which was greatly appreciated. A very short walk took us into the Centre. The room was lovely, bed extra comfortable so had a great night sleep following a busy sightseeing afternoon & evening. We ate at The Cafe both in the evening & again for breakfast (a full & delicious English). Will definitely stay here again when visiting Oxford.

There was a spiderweb over the light in the ceiling that had been there a while. and the room was not clean. Thankfully, The bathroom was clean. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke. The hotel had seen better days. Looked adorable online but that was deceiving. The cafe was nice and the staff was nice. The hall carpet had not been vacuumed in a while. NEEDS a thorough cleaning. The reviews said clean but it was not.

Air conditioning was quiet and effective. There are significant somewhat narrow steps to navigate to get to second floor rooms. Nice breakfast and very helpful staff

My family and I came here for the Formula One race and had an outstanding experience. From the moment we arrived there was no hassle. The restaurant food is outstanding, Anna and Bushra went above and beyond to accommodate us, including making food after the restaurant had closed. One of the top places I have stayed in with my family in the UK.

Our family of 4 stayed at this quaint hotel just outside of downtown Oxford for a night. Rooms were clean and modern and we had dinner and breakfast in the cafe downstairs. The cafe offered excellent food and staff were very professional and friendly. Highly recommended if you want a quite place within walking distance (15 minutes) from the city center.

Small and friendly hotel, close to Folly bridge and easily walkable to the centre and university areas. Room was clean and comfortable but only one USB port on a table lamp which was slow charging. Cafe was very good and breakfast was lovely.
