Matilda was exceptional in her customer service. Only negative is there is no lift. Not good for us as no assistance to get luggage upstairs. Will check before booking next time.

Good value. Near a metro station but not as central as staying near Bellecour. Good experience but i was disappointed that: 1) i was told to bring,my car to the hotel to get instructions on parking but there was nowhere to stop at the hotel so i had to double -park which was extremely stressful and 2) i was given incorrect information about the closest grocery store

Great staff who really took the time to show us where we might want to sightsee. Also held our luggage for almost an additional day while we traveled out and back. Great people, and convenient accommodations.

Very pleasant stay. We chose this hotel because it is close to the part of the river Rhone from which river cruises depart and return. It is across the bridge on the peninsula but it was an easy walk with our luggage. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was very good. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage for free for several hours on the day of our cruise, when we could not board until after 3pm, and we used their services on our return (for a fee) to store our bags until the evening because we had a very late flight. The hotel is about a 5-7 minute walk from the nearest metro stations (either Lyon Perrache or Ampere Voctor Hugo.

The reception and housekeeping teams were courteous, helpful, and professional throughout my stay.

The Hotel is walkable from the trainstation. It was nice and clean. I liked the old feel. The staff was nice and helpful. You can get anywhere from here.

Hotel Charite worked well for us. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The double room was smaller than expected from the photos. Was tight for our luggage. The Bathroom lacks some features and amenities, but works fine. Location is right next to train station but you only hear trams on occasion (we stayed just Saturday night).

Perfect location next to the main bus and train station so easy to find. Nice area and quiet.

The people who run it ... Merium, Matilda and all the others are EXCELLENT!! They speak English and know everything about Lyon .... just great!

We highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful to us especially because our command of French is very limited. The room was charming and very comfortable, very clean and quiet. The breakfast included was perfect and made the mornings start just right. The hotel is located in a perfect area for taking advantage of great food, wonderful museums, shopping and the metro/tram is very close. If we are ever to return to Lyon, this will be our top choice in hotels. Merci beaucoup Hoteleo Charite!

A simple hotel at the end of the road that leads to everything. Easy walking from there. The staff were more than nice. I practiced my French but they also spoke English. For the price it was amazing. I stayed six nights.

Staff were absolutely lovely and accommodating. I had the ground floor room, which was flush with the road and sidewalk. I was concerned that it would be very noisy, but the double windows effectively eliminated the noise, and the air conditioning unit meant that the room didn’t get stuffy with the windows closed. Lovely continental breakfast in the little ground floor nook. This isn’t the best area of town (nor is it the worst), but as it is by the train/bus station it is very convenient for those who have an early morning departure. Would recommend overall.
