The location is perfect, staff is excellent. We got a room not facing the street, it’s quiet. The beds and bedding are too old and worn. Upgrading AC can be expensive, replacing bedding is definitely not!

I love that they clean the sheets and make the bed everyday!!! It was so nice coming back from a long day in the city to a clean room. Really nice and quiet area, definitely worth the visit!!

Good value, perfect location.

Most reviews point out good things about the property but unfortunately my experience didn’t live up to those expectations. My room was infested with bugs and roaches. They were continuously coming through the bathroom vent. Management was unhelpful.

You get what you pay for, if you’re looking for an inexpensive stay in nyc this is the place. The beds aren’t comfy, the pillows were extremely lumpy, the floors looked like they hadn’t been swept in the restroom, shower walls and curtains were not clean. The restroom door really didn’t close. Besides that the location is great and convenient. The subway is near by and the staff were super friendly.

If you don’t mind a walk-up this is an excellent place to stay. The pros: location, cleanliness, room size (for nyc) the price (for NYC) the cons: the eclectic neighborhood is not for everyone, the uneven steps up narrow staircases are tough on older knees, the AC in room is pretty noisy (but very effective). It’s a clean safe cheap place to stay with trains to anywhere in the boroughs you might want to go. We found the aged bathroom and furniture charming and the beds were comfortable enough to get a good nights sleep.

Very convenient. Only, you should know it doesn’t have an elevator!!! And we got the 3rd floor with luggage. Anyways, the staff was kind and they help us taking it up

The tap was broken so the water was flowing everywhere, and the shower tap also seemed broken so I could hardly turn on the hot water. The toilet seat was very old. The bed sheets did not look very clean. I was not sure about the cleanliness of the room in general. Other than that, the facilities were as advertised.

Great location, clean room. If you’re not planning on spending a lot of time inside then this is a great choice for the price.

Smelly room, black mold in the bathroom, including cealing. Noisy street. No elevator!

Great value, great location

The hotel is at convinient location. The family room's window was opening on a wall so the room was claustrophobic. Bathroom didn't have latch inside. And the bathing soap cake was same as hand wash. Room didn't have any water kettle and no provision for driming water. While staff was helpful but was lacking warmth and you don't feel welcoming. Be aware that hotel accepts only cash and there is no elevator in the hotel and the stair cases are a bit narrow and steep.
