What a lovely place to stay. We loved every minute of our stay here. We highly recommend this place. Beautiful inside out

Nice place to stay, would have liked to stay a few more nights but we couldn't change our schedule.

We had a fine experience overall, friendly staff, nice environment, good breakfast. And would definitely stay again. My only complaint is towels need renewing, definitely worn out. 🙁

I have stayed in this hotel before and it’s my go to place when I just want a quiet couple of days away. The rooms are old fashioned and lovely, the restaurant is very good and there’s a nice bar. The area offers lovely countryside and places to explore and the hotel pool is very nice if you just want relax and read a book.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful and elegant, and set right in the heart of the Dao region convenient for tours and sightseeing. The staff was very friendly and helpful and helped us make reservations for tours at local wineries and other attractions. The only negatives were 1) that the food at the restaurant was just ok, but that might have been because of covid issues; and 2) the bed was very uncomfortable.

Traditional Portuguese country Hotel, set in fabulous countryside, with view os Serra da Estrela mountains. Dining room has high ceilings, and overseen by large oil paintings of historic figures. Several reception rooms all decorated in traditional furniture. Comfortable and welcoming. Staff is very friendly. Restaurant very good. They have a swimming pool, and attractive garden for evening walks with view of country side. I’ve been several times, and will continue to return.

Good historic hotel in great location. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Pool was freezing, rooms a bit outdated but very clean.

This place is brimming with history from the photographs and paintings on the walls to the woodwork and décor of the rooms and common areas. The large open hearth fireplaces in the lobby and eating area were welcome sights on a cold autumn evening and morning.

Hotel antigo mas com todas as comodidades. Boa piscina e pequeno almoço. Boas áreas de lazer e descanso.

O hotel é lindo fácil acesso , os funcionários todos maravilhosos e atenciosos, tudo excelente recomendo com certeza

Veldig hyggelig opphold! God service, rimelig mat, rent og rolig.

Gostei muito do hotel ,o quarto era muito bom com varanda é uma boa vista. O único problema foi o colchão que achámos desconfortável. Tudo o resto muito bom
