The room I was allocated had aircon and a fan but I didn't want either of those at the time so tried to open the window and found that it could not be held open. There was no where to hang clothes - cupboard, no hooks. Bed was good. The door could not be closed without slamming it which wasn't good for guests in other rooms. I went to the shared bathroom and found myself paddling in water in the area where one is supposed undress and dress. It seems that the shower is leaking because there was also water on the floor outside the shower. There was no where to put one's clothes in the shower cubicle. There was one working hook on the inside of the door while the others had been broken off. No bench to put anything on so one had to hang clothes over the top of the wall. There was a large bin with a plastic insert which I expect was for wet towels.

Shared facilities (a female bathroom and a male one) sounded potentially awkward - but we only saw 1 or 2 other guests when we wanted to use those facilities (= early morning, late evening) so not a problem at all! Clean but basic and good value, “no frills” price for 2x singles sharing. Also very close to railway station (though we drove).

Checking into this hotel, I had to walk my children through a bar of people drinking and staff using inappropriate language communicating with what seemed to be locals that drink there everyday. Checking into our rooms the floor was dirty and the smell in both rooms was off putting. The blankets were not covered and when removing the sheets on top of the blankets there was urine stains all over the blankets and mattresses. My son and daughter both had hair on their sheets and pillows. There was rubbish and used water bottles in the hotel cupboards and floor behind the bed. The shared bathrooms on the floor were dirty and old, privacy was absolute zero. Car park was closed from 3am-10am so getting our vehicle out of the car park meant we had to drag a heavy fence (not meant to be manually opened) so we could drive out in the morning to get to where we needed to be. Staff advised us around opening the fence. It felt very unsafe for my kids and family but the manager did refund us a room and was professional when speaking with him around my concerns.

The whole hotel is run down, powerpoint barely attached to wall (DANGEROUS). The bedside tables were unusable and broken. The walls have clearly not been cleaned in a while with yucky gunk all over. We ended up not staying and leaving at 10pm because it gave a very unsafe vibe. We definatly will not be returning for a stay. Food was amazing though downstairs at the pub

Great value for the money. Bed was comfortable, fairly quiet during the night. Shared amenities dated, but are fairly clean with plenty of hot water. The pub itself smells of cigarette smoke. Meals were good.

Absolutely discussed. The rooms are filthy stains on carpet smells like the 80s you hear everything footsteps the doors the TAB going. Not to mention the staff where rude and not really interested in patrons and there safety or well being. One of the worst experience I've had in a motel never again! Not recommended

There were dust on the floor and you could hear your neighbour with loud music. The wooden floors were too creaky. But overall, a good stay

It was a good place for a quick stay in the height of Cyclone Alfred, good acess to train station also
