The only reason to book this place is if you want to be close to the water. It was dirty, unkept and I found that the lack of amenities provided leads me to believe that these are either first-time owners or just are under qualified to be hosts. The photos showcase the exact level of “clean” one can expect upon arrival. The lack of items like tea towels, dishsoap, cutting boards or even sugar are disappointing. There was a dishwasher but no dishwasher pods provided so we went out and had to buy. The single paper towel roll that was provided, was stained as well. It was very very dirty inside.
I was also quite shocked when the front desk staff asked us to not run the window air conditioner when the central air wasn’t even working properly.
There was an old mattress just kept outside the entire time our family was there, which was gross. The “bbq area” was disgusting. To clarify we rented the “family cottage” and were very unimpressed at what was presented and what we found upon arrival.
The sheets were thin and cheap, the headboards too large for the mattress/frame. The bed was hard as a rock and the rooms barely had storage or dressers but large wardrobes that made no sense for the room. One of the lamps didn’t even work. These owners basically throw items in without actually thinking about comfort or guest experience.
The wifi password was tacked up on the wall like a college dorm. They should have a welcome book with helpful information, guides for things to do and contact details, but it just felt like staying in a dirty frat house.
I would never book here again and recommend going up the road to a proper hotel.
