Good location with helpful staff. The hotel itself was just “ok” with no air conditioning so it was very hot sleeping even with the fans provided.

I couldn’t fault the hotel. We were checked in early and our room had all the mod cons. It was a very nice room. The hotel is manned 24/7 which is also reassuring should anything go wrong. We had one issue where we couldn’t find the remote and we looked EVERYWHERE. Called reception and they brought us a spare remote control. Another issue we had was that one of the party had their own special turban like hair towel to dry their hair. Despite us expressing no room service in the morning to the staff on reception, our room still got serviced, we’d purposely left the windows shut for security purposes and arrived to find every windows wide open so anyone could’ve just jumped in the room and the hair towel was gone. We mentioned it at reception when we left but no real effort to say “we’ll post it to you” or “we will have you money for the loss”. It would be nice if either could still be fulfilled. We thought it was weird they had a physical key and only one of them so we had to return the key every time we left and picked it up every time we returned. I guess it’s old school with a key but we would have preferred key cards. I assume there’s an issue with doing so as it’s an old hotel.

Our stay at Buswells was adequate. The best part of this hotel is the location, right in the heart of Dublin and steps away from all the tourist attractions and hip neighbourhoods. However, the rest of the hotel experience was pretty mediocre. The room we got was tiny (Comfort Double is a rather flimsy euphemism for cramped and uncomfortable). The headboard of our bed was damaged and flaking, the “view” from our room was non-existent, the air circulation was extremely poor and made the room feel incredibly hot and stuffy. The hotel room was pretty pricey and didn’t even include breakfast. Other than the location, I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone.

We loved staying at Buswells! Our first visit to Dublin and we couldn't be happier with our stay. The staff are so courteous and helpful, the scones are amazing, and the charm exceeded my expectations. It is so centrally located, you are close to so many museums. We will be back!

Excellent location. Room was very hot, even though it was only 20 degrees outside and despite using the fan and having the window open, it stayed hot. There were a lot of stairs to navigate, even though there was a lift we still had to go up and down. However the concierge was helpful with bags. Room was very average.

Very nice, historic, classical Dublin Hotel. Location is perfect, so close to all the shops and restaurants without being in the noisy areas. Smaller rooms but that’s to be expected with the building’s historic footprint. Very nice staff

The location was perfect for us and the staff members were so friendly and helpful. Great restaurants in the area within walking distance. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the accommodations so much, we changed our hotel reservations after a 5 day tour in the country, to return to The Buswell for our final 2 days.
