Most of the check in staff were indifferent and mumbled instructions, it was difficult to understand. Staff at check were fine—and I appreciated the tea in the morning. The place was mostly clean but there was a musty, old smell mostly on the 17th floor—hallway. The pillows were mostly lumpy and uncomfortable. If the price was less than $300+ per night I probably would feel differently. Not worth the money for sure. The place is a little tired and needs a refresh. I write these reviews because Expedia reviews are “wonderful!” And rated the property a 9. I would rate it a 6.5-7 at most.

Cleaning ladies where annoying

We were very happy with this hotel. It was clean, The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing that surprised us was that there are no dressers in rooms. However we soon got over that and we managed just fine. Stayed there for a concert and it was perfect. Just a very short walk to Canada Life Centre. Will definitely stay there again.

First time in Winnipeg for a quick training session, and we stayed at the Alt Hotel for two nights—definitely a win! The big, comfy rooms and super-friendly staff made the experience seamless. Modern design and funky feel as you would expect. Ultra modern furniture and fixtures. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable with high ceilings. Slightly off the busy street so not too noisy for a city location. Tim Hortons as with many restaurants in the area may or may not be open after business hours and on weekends.

Helpful, friendly staff. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. There is a make-up mirror attached on the bathroom wall. This was a nice extra convenience.

The staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and quiet. Location is ideal if attending events at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg. There’s a skywalk from the nearby parking garage to the hotel. The only downside is the hotel should automatically include a parking pass if you have a vehicle. Parking cost us $40 for an overnight stay. The hotel’s parking pass is approx $20. If staying there, take the parking pass!

For hockey , concert highly recommended and security and parade excellent.

Vraiment propre et un très bon service , stationnement gratuit facile d’accès, le seul inconvénient il faut réserver 2 nuits. Nous sommes allés dans l’Ouest Canadien et à notre tour, nous avons pas pu réserver, car ce n’était que pour une nuit à notre tour, mais tout était parfait.

Love this property. Super friendly staff, very convenient and safe. My go-to place to stay when attending a concert downtown Winnipeg!

Convenient to the Canada Life Centre.

Everything inside the hotel was great, with one exception - the bathroom door (two doors that close together) did not meet when closed. There was an inch gap in the doors when closed that did not provide sound nor odor attenuation which is awkward when you are travelling with friends. A full door would have made this hotel excellent.

Absolutely loved the hotel, only draw back is there is no coffee machine in the room, only an expresso machine...not everyone like expresso!
