I was about to give positive review, despite the glitches I experienced in the hotel room. Simply because I love the layout of the hotel. However, I cannot hold it because the service and the incident happened to me. Good: well designed. It’s like my dream house. Friendly staff. Bad: 1. Room was not properly cleaned when I enter the room. I could find hair on the floor of the room. 2. Power socket in bad condition. But forgivable. I have my own travel plug. 3. Hello, water heater for the shower is not working, huh? 4. Breakfast-the mosquitoes will join you. And they are pretty big. I'm surprised. What do they eat? Mutant blood? 5. I was expecting a special Sri Lankan tea. I don't mind to pay more for the tea. My main issue with the hotel is the way they treat my case: I booked the room for one night only. However, since I liked the design/layout of the hotel very much, I decided to extend my stay for another night. I told the receptionist on the night of my first day. Initially I asked for late check-out, but they didn't allow me, and I'm fine. I said just extend my stay. He said OK - no problem. And before breakfast, I asked again at the front counter about my intention and she said ok. I did also ask her about the payment. Because I could pay it immediately but she said "no problem sir, I'm just checking to reconfirm". After breakfast, I went to my room and she called when I was in the shower and could not pick up the phone call. It was 10.15 am. (You can check the call log.) I went down to the counter and asked her the reason she called: there’s a guest coming and booked my room. What, man? I was so pissed off. 2. Times I asked about the room. First, you can block that room when I told my intention. Secondly, you could just tell me that no room available that night or at least during breakfast. And you expect me to check out by 11.30 am. I love this hotel: the design, the location. But what had happened disappoints me.
