This is a gem of a hotel. We stayed from Sunday until Tuesday on half board and enjoyed great food, excellent customer service and a wonderful deluxe double room in the main building facing the lawns. Full of history, the hotel provides a free audio tour. There is also an exclusive 5k walk around quiet country lanes and fields and bluebell woods. The manager is a fountain of knowledge of the history of the building.

Great stay in the best suite (other rooms not so much) and waking up to go for a walk in the mornings in the beautiful grounds of the property is the definition of a getaway.

What an amazing weekend stay at The Elvetham Hotel. The venue is beautiful, bursting with history and architectural gems as evidence of a regal palace from a bygone era. The team at the Elvetham are amazing. No pomp and ceremony you sometimes find at large stately homes like this. You are instantly relaxed, and at your leisure to explore the venue and grounds of this fantastic hotel. The bar area was our favourite spot, with a unique carved stone fireplace to capture the story of when Queen Victoria stayed at the Hall as a guest of The Earl of Hertford in 1501. A truly magical venue. Our group had 3 rooms at the hotel, each one exuding the grandeur and charm of this gem of a place. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. We will visit again - thank you to the team for making our weekend one to remember

Beautiful building and beautiful grounds. Would love to come again and experience it fully as unfortunately we had to leave early and missed breakfast and the remainder of the morning.

The exterior of the property is beautiful. However, the interior is tired and poorly fitted out. The bathroom was that of a 2* B&B with very little thought or planning, such as the shower which hit my head as it was too low. We were given a travel cot without a mattress and only a thick duvet, which was simply unsafe for our baby. The way-finding and signage was a complete mess. We booked a family room, this was up and down a number of stairwells and narrow corridors, making it difficult to access with pushchairs and luggage. We were kept up all night due to the adjacency of the plant room or mechanical ventilation system which was very loud. The zip and link bed was not advertised on the booking, and the fixings were broken, meaning the bed came apart during the night. Overall this hotel is in desperate need of a renovation and upgrade to the interiors for both improvement of condition, design and quality.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds, lots of history, nice walk. We stayed in the stable rooms, room was clean and tidy. Pillows a bit uncomfortable for us but hard to please everyone. We had an evening meal in the Sylvanus Restaurant food was nice although bit disappointed on the the set menu there was only one Veggie choice for starter and main course which I found the main to be too buttery/oily not great when you have a delicate stomach. Breakfast was ok again no veggie sausages, small selection of yoghurt, fruit and cereal.
