Delightful suite, lots of room and comfortable furniture. Sizeable bathroom with large bath and separate shower. Great food in the restaurant and wonderful service in the bar.

Our room was absolutely amazing, very beautiful views from the windows. Shower didn't drain so were standing in our own water. Bar area was very cold and uninviting with very little lighting. Could have done with some candles. Drinks were very overpriced. Other communal areas were also cold. Reception and cleaning staff were also very helpful and kind

We stayed in room 207, a suite. It was a large room, very clean, warm, and comfortable. The bar staff were very helpful and prices were fair for a hotel. Dinner was very tasty and well cooked and the waiters and waitresses were very attentive. The menu was a bit limited as was the wine list. Breakfast was okay but not outstanding. Overall, a pleasant stay in a lovely old building.

Very cold very like Alaska

Beautiful property. A bit of a rabbit warren but delightful to see the original features and feel the age of the building. Comfortable room and excellent bathroom facilities. Breakfast had most of what you would expect, I would like more fresh salad available. We especially enjoyed the walking route provided by the hotel, really lovely to get out and about in the grounds.

From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff were great, friendly and couldn’t help you enough.

Great staff especially at breakfast, the restaurant food was good but bar food was limited...all meat and dough, please offer salad options. The bathroom in 205 had a cracked floor and a battered bath panel, not really acceptable at over £200 a night. The main issue was the unbearable intense unadustable heat. We had the window wide open for 2 days and a fan on but it made me very unwell (I'm on chemo) and i wouldnt book again

This hotel is in beautiful grounds. We will explore these more when we return

Wonderful surprise located in the english countryside. The hotel has plenty of character with beautiful grounds. Dinner was excellent!

We always love returning to the hotel, but upgraded to a suite this time. It was superb. The meal in the restaurant was exceptional, and the steak I had was probably the best I have ever had!

Lovely, quiet, room within the stable annex just opposite the main reception. Beautiful, historic, buildings set in stunning parkland. Lots of beautiful vistas if you are planning to have a wedding/wedding photography here.

Everything was excellent! From check in to check out. Wedding reception table beautifully presented, food was perfect * perhaps some gravy with pie * but excellent chef! very comfortable room & tastefully decorated * a little too warm * breakfast servicw slow & would have liked to eat at the same time as rest of family, but all good.
