Great location, close to many bars and restaurants, and close to La Gran Via, Cibeles, Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Quiet room, private bathroom, cable tv, WiFi, etc. Great for a short stay.

An exceptional hostel right off Plaza del Sol, ground zero in Madrid from which all roads and development radiated centuries ago. Had a private bath with a bathtub, large wall mirrors, comfortable queen bed, and sparkling clean with all amenities needed. Problem is it’s always booked, so I could only stay two nights then had to find another one for my last night, but fortunately only a few steps away as I was carrying too much luggage, leaving for States the next day.

Loved staying in Hostal Centro Sol!! Location was perfect—right near city center and major sightseeing locations all in walking distance. Owners were very nice and welcoming and even let me check in early which I really appreciate. Room was charming and comfortable, and even had balcony view. Very well priced, especially for solo traveler. Highly recommend if you are coming to Madrid!!

Nice hotel in a great part of central Madrid. A mere two blocks from metro station Sol on the Red Line (#8 Line). Plenty of food and shopping within just a few blocks.

Older family style Pensione. Very clean and helpful staff. Though busy place I was in the central courtyard so very quite.

Our stay at Hostal Centro Sol was great..the place is convenient to restaurants, shopping center, convenient stores, walking distance to plaza mayor & to puerta del sol train sta. Will stay there again..cannot beat the price!

Easy and fast checkin. Key card property and room access so you can come and go as you please. Accommodating reception/manager. Quiet room as per my request. I will stay there again. Aircon works great too.

The location is amazing - within walking distance of so many sites and easy metro to many others. For the price - absolutely unbeatable in terms of comfort and amenities.

I was expecting something MUCH more basic, like the hostels in Mexico, but this was just as nice as any budget hotel. For an extended stay, it would have been too small for me, but was not small. The location is fantastic, just 100 yards from Puerta del Sol.

The hotel could not have been more centrally-located. Everything was spotlessly clean, branded for the hotel, and the service was stellar. Never underestimate the value of having a refrigerator in your room. Not only would I stay again, I actually decided to keep my room here for my entire two-and-a-half week trip.
