My wife and I stayed for one night in a Standard Room with 1 King Bed and had a great experience overall. The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to walk to York city centre, The Shambles, York Minster, the city walls and many other attractions. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, pubs, and international dining options nearby. Our room was clean, tidy, and spacious enough for a couple. We particularly liked the framed artwork and decorations, which gave the room a unique character. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless, with useful features such as a heated towel rail. The room was well equipped with thoughtful amenities including tea and coffee facilities, complimentary water, snacks, bathrobes, slippers, Wi-Fi, an iron and ironing board, a safe, and a mini fridge. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The hotel was quiet throughout our stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We felt it offered very good value for money considering the location, quality of the room, and overall experience. The only downside was the television. It was not connected to the internet and only offered a limited selection of traditional TV channels. Having access to streaming services or smart TV functionality would have improved our stay, especially in the evening after returning from exploring the city. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return on a future visit to York. Rating: 4.9/5

Great staff and good location.

Used the hotel for a stop over. Good parking just 5 minutes away. Lovely room and great bathroom. Staff was welcoming and fantastic to deal with. I would highly recommend and certainly use this hotel again.

Hotel Indigo was extremely central, with lovely decor and very comfortable beds. A very good choice for staying centrally in York.

From walking in the hotel and staff are impressive. Phoebe at reception was exceptional, friendly and professional. The room was excellent, stylish and comfortable. Breakfast and the staff were great - no complaints from us. We will be back

Excellent location. 5 minute walk to the shambles and main tourist points. Some excellent restaurants and bars close by. Great service from all the staff and the breakfast was really good. Would recommend.

Breakfast is really not worth the money at all. Pancakes were awful. Took time to be seated. Everything else is great

Very friendly reception at hotel who helped us check in early as room was available. The room was clean and had a kettle and tea as well as some local snacks. Water was also provided although tap water is also drinkable. It was quiet and about a ten minute walk to the Shambles. Also many restaurants nearby, including non pub food!!

Staff were absolutely fantastic. The room was modern and immaculate. Cannot fault and will definitely be staying there again

Our first visit to York, and we couldn’t have chosen a better one. Beautifully located near all things we wished to see. All the staff are fabulous, can’t do enough for you, but a special shout out for Phoebe on reception who really did go the extra mile for us. . It’s a clean and well presented room, fab bathroom with all necessities provided. The breakfast is extremely good with a great variety of choices and great value for money. The bar prices are certainly not unreasonable in this day and age. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. If we are ever back in York this is where we will stay. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.
