The staff assisted me when I arrived after hours. The facilities and equipment were acceptable for the price paid.

The accommodation is a bunk bed. One six has all 3 Bunk beds (6 beds) with an en suite bathroom. Breakfast is a croissant. Start serving eight o'clock in the morning. Even though the room was small, it was good enough for backpackers like me. The restaurant was in the 5th floor and a bit hot. Breakfast was simple but tasted good. If you arrive late you should contact with the hostel in advance then they can instruct you to check-in by yourself. 5-7 mins walk distance to Chiayi train station to take the train to Fenchihu. Highly recommend for staying here if you have plan to go Alishan by train the next day.

Great place! I haven't tried the breakfast because we have to check out early to catch the 6AM bus going to Fenchihu.

The place was nice, one night stay comes with free breakfast. The lounge at the basement floor and the kitchen area’s pinterest-ready. Staff was accommodating too.

I wish that we could have stayed longer in Light Hostel. We weren't able to eat the breakfast because we checked out early to catch the early morning bus going to Alishan. But so far, the hostel was good, clean and the ambiance was so cool.
