Amazing location!

Very central place. Very convenient. The manager was extremely helpful. If I get an opportunity, I will stay again.

The room was very clean. It was also very small. The bathroom was also quite small. It is very centrally located and was a great location for walking the city. It felt more like a hostel as but all the rooms were individual. Cleaning staff came around regularly. If you are only looking for a place to sleep it was great. The square outside only had a couple of small cafes so we didn't hear the late night noise that Madrid is famous for.

Even though the room was in the small side it is extremely clean. Like very clean. Some of the towels were a little crusty perhaps needs some softeners. But bedding smelled fresh and clean all the time. We love that it is steps from everything major i.e. Plaza Major; Puerto del Sol; Gran Via; Mercado de San Miguel. Easy access to Metro and Renfe trains. Lots of restaurants all over the place. A Carrefour Express in the Square across from the hotel. Of course lots of American fast foods nearby. Will definitely stay here again. Oh and love the mini glass enclosed balcony in our room.

Love this place. Walkable distance to so many attractions and public transportation. Endless restaurants and shops nearby, yet still relatively quiet.

Perfect for a weekend break. Excellent location right next to Plaza Mayor. Rooms can be noisy at times, but to be expected in middle of a city. Clean and comfortable accommodation. Would definitely stay again in future.

Great location!!! Comfortable but not luxurious. We got what we paid for and enjoyed our stay.

Good place to stay for it's location and price. Staff was friendly. Place was old, room was small. No elevator and we need to lift our luggage up to fourth floor (Europe level 3).

The best location if you want walking access in the old toqn.

Cannot beat location for Hostal Cruz Sol--right around the corner from Plaza Mayor. Rooms were simple, clean, comfy beds, all we needed. Elevator in building. Staff was great--made arrangements for early morning taxi pickups for us. Answered my emails promptly. Easy walking to everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely stay here again!

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Near to shopping, tourist & culinary area. Also public transportation. Perfect!

Center of everything! Great location. But building is very old. No coffee machine to make hot water.

The location of this hotel is terrific, right at the hub of central Madrid, a half-block from the Plaza Mayor, a huge square courtyard that seems to be the center of local life, full of restaurants, etc. Otherwise, the hostal, which occupies the third floor of a tall building, is very small, plain, simple, no-frills room, not lovely but not terrible, more like a dorm room that is adequate but not attractive in any way. It does have a lovely view over Plaza Santa Cruz. The bed had only a top sheet, no cover. I only spent one night there, so it was fine, but I would choose somewhere else nearby and pay a bit more if I were staying several days or longer.
